BE CAREFUL, They rip people OFF Be careful with these people. My daughter, a cinematography student here in Chile and 3 friends, as a part of their career curriculum, planned on attending the Valdivia Film festival this past October and called the Albergue Latino to make reservations. They asked for 50% of the total reservation in advance. Unfortunately the day after I sent them the funds, one of the University teachers gave the students a work which was not compatible with them attending the festival. So three weeks before the festival took place, and the day after making the reservation and paying in advance, I contacted them explaining this situation. To my disbelief, until this day, December 2nd, they haven't returned the funds they received from me. PLEASE DON'T MAKE BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES. — Hernan Isotta , CHILEAN (2010-12-02) Awful! What we weren't told on arrival was that the boiler and internet were both broken (something you'd think they'd have the courtesy to mention since it's winter!) rendering the house without heating and hot water! Of course if the internet had been working i'd have sourced somewhere else to stay as soon as i found out that there would be no heating overnight. They didn't even offer us extra blankets or an electric heater. we were left to freeze. Luckily i was with my boyfriend so we could huddle together for warmth.
