Description
The Beach House is a small hostel located just outside the centre of Tamarindo. Close enough to have everything in walking distance, it takes 5 min to get to the shops, bars, restaurants, banks and anything else you need, but far enough to get a good night's sleep with the sound of the ocean in the background.
It is the perfect place if you're here to surf. Just in front of the hostel you will find the best breaks in Tamarindo. Wake up, grab your board and get in the water.
And after a long day of surfing it's time to relax, have a cold beer and watch the sunset in our big tropical garden, where monkeys, parrots, hummingbirds and iguanas make their occasional visits.
Our friendly staff is always more than happy to help you organize your surfing trips, excursions into one of the many national parks or just to show you around town.
Of course we have all the good stuff like:

- private beach access
- safe parking area
- cable TV
- big balcony on the 2nd floor
- next to Baulas national park

- friendly and relaxed atmosphere

Super friendly staff, easy to meet people here, right on the beach and a fab Christmas dinner! Mixed ages of guests too, from early 20s to mid 30s. There's a kitchen as well which I don't think is listed on HostelBookers.

its really close to the beach. You can walk really quickly to Tamarindo but it was a little bit more outside so it was quiet.

Great atmosphere, cool staff, ideal location, and a constant stream of interesting travellers to hang out with. Very communal living, everybody hanging out each night on the patio, talking and having fun. A great place!

The Property was located on the beach(the only hostel like it in the area).I also enjoyed the well organised staff who pretty much ensured that I had a great time from the moment I arrived till now.These people have really gone to the extreme to make there hostel into a fun family enviroment with awsome attention to the smaller deatials.I enjoyed the Cinema big screen and the pingpong table, I dont think there is a better hostel in Costa Rica but then again Ill have to se what the future brings

Excellent I have been traveling for 1 year and beach house is by far the best hostel I have stayed at, if you are in the area of Tamarindo pull in there. what a cool place, good facilities including surfboard rentals, ping pong.
