The Hostelz.com Review
A very basic hostel with a small common area with a TV. The location just off of Las Ramblas and next to the Placa Reial is the best feature of this hostel. There are no fans or A/C in the rooms.

One word....SKETCH!!! We arrived late that night to find that sheets were NOT provided and there were no sheets to be rented. On our way up to the room we saw a cockroach, but thankfully found no more in the rest of the hostel. There were lockers for each bed, but they didn't come close to fitting our backpacks, so we could only lock up our valuables. We had to sleep with a towel and the contents of our suitcase on us to battle the freezing room (we were there in May, so I'm sure it's not a problem in the middle of the summer, but know to bring sheets). A staff member there was also not very helpful, as he spoke no English. And despite the "no alcohol policy" in the hostel, he was pounding back a beer at 9 a.m. the next morning after pulling an over 12-hour shift (same guy that checked us in). The only plus to this hostel was its location, but you can find other hostels located in equally good areas that are much better!!!
