Godzillas Hostel is located in one of Russia’s most beautiful towns. Suzdal is a UNESCO heritage site and located on Russia’s Golden Ring. Visit over 50 monasteries and churches.
Our hostel is in a newly built house with a large garden, verandas and lovely views. It is a great place to chill out and experience the real Russia.
The hostel is located in the centre of town on the banks of the Kamenka River. It is opposite one of the oldest churches in Suzdal.

Location	Our address is Nabarezhnaya 32. Godzillas is a 5 minute walk from the centre of town (Torgovoi Centre). The Torgovoi Centre is the long one story white building located on Ul. Lenina (the main street) and where all the souvenir and vegetable stalls are located. The path to Godzillas is behind the Torgovoi Centre on the right hand side (when facing the building). Follow the cobbled path down the hill and keep going straight. When the path reaches the river keep going straight along the dirt road. We are about 200 meters along the river (hidden by the trees). Once you get close you cannot miss the us as we are the new green building. Tips: Do not cross the river. From Moscow - By Train Local trains go to Vladimir (????????) daily at 08:07 and at 14:00. Seats cannot be pre-booked but there is plenty of space. Go to Kursky Train Station (Kurskaya Metro station on Brown Line). The trains (Electrichki) do not go from the main station but a separate entrance at the end of the building on the right hand side. Arrive at least 20 minutes beforehand as queues can get long and hectic. Get in the queue and just say Vladimir. Tickets cost 220 rubles. If you are short of time tickets can be bought on the Electrichki. Go to the platforms and ask around for the Vladimir train if you can’t read Cyrillic. In Russian it is spelt ????????. Remember to keep your ticket as you will be checked along the way and upon exiting the train. The journey takes about 3 1/2 hours with lots of stops. Upon arriving in Vladimir, (it is the last stop, so everyone else will be rushing off as well!) go out of the station and walk across the square to the bus terminal, go to the top floor and go to any ticket booth. Say Suzdal and hand over 37 rubles. Buses to Suzdal (C??????) leave every half hour. Then go outside and look for platform 10, where the Suzdal bus will pick you up. The bus tickets will have the time of the bus, and clearly marked with your seat number. The regional buses you go by seat number. If the seat number is 0, you stand! In Suzdal, stay on the bus as it first stops at the Suzdal Bus Station (Outside of town). It waits here a few minutes before going onwards. You need to pay an additional 8 Rubles for this leg of the journey. Get off at the T junction where it turns right onto the main street. If you miss it you can get off at the next stop and walk back 100 meters to the Torgovoi Centre. The journey from local bus station to the centre of town only takes a few minutes. So keep your eyes peeled! By Bus: Go to Kursky Station (Kurskaya Metro Station). Buses leave from outside the northern end of the train station. Buses leave every half hour to Vladimir (????????) train station. If you are confused please ask other passengers for the bus. The cost of the journey is 200 rubles. The journey takes between 2 ½ - 4 hours. The bus stops once for a break halfway through the journey. But do not wander far as the driver leave without you. Upon arrival in Vladimir (final stop) as per Train instructions (see above). We will assist you on returning from Suzdal to Moscow. Please ask reception before you check out.

The property is a gorgeous and gloriously warm wooden chalet. It is impeccably clean with hot showers, wifi, flat screen TV a huge common area and a kitchen. The staff speaks limited English but is very friendly and goes out of their way to help you. It is only a five minute walk from the centre of town. Bordering the river and surrounded by dachas and their frost-covered vegetable gardens, its location is idyllic. It has a great interior design, complete with a fireplace and original artwork. The mattresses and bedding are thick and very comfortable. The main kitchen is not yet quite ready, but when it is, it should be pretty amazing. The staff are very friendly, although they speak only the most basic English. It is a nice hostel, very clean and safe (seems very new too). When I checked in, I was told that there would be no hot water throughout the town and they offered to give me a discount because of that. It was great! It was a bit expensive for what it is ( as we were expecting a banya and a kitchen, which, unfortunatelly are under contruction 'till september 2011). Anyway, the decoration is cosy and warm, you realy feel like at home. People in the village are very kind (nothing to do with the Muscovite rush). Nice ambience, freindly, lovely location. If you come by car here's your route: ulitsa Lenina - by Rizopolozhensky monastery turn to ulitsa Krupskoy and then to ulitsa Staraya (which is parallel to ulitsa Lenina). Go up to the end of the street by Torgovyje ryady. Then right in front of you there will be a dark steep street payved with large cobblestones. Take this one. When you have reached the bifurcation take the left street which is closer to the river. This is Naberezhnaya street.
