It was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. It's very small and I'd say more like a B+B.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the hostel itself was very nice- it has a lovely roof terrace and patio area. The breakfast was excellent. The staff let us keep our car in the courtyard overnight without any extra charge.

The hostel was nice and in a good location with a very easy 12 block walk to the center and the staff were helpful in giving directions and recommending trips. However I advise you to be careful when booking the trips and tours offered by the hostel as they are 4 times more expensive than taking a local bus to the same sites. Also the breakfast is not really traditional Mexican as advertised it consists of Tortillas and Mole which gets a bit old after 2 days.

This is a great place to stay if you want a nice, clean, comfortable place with decent facilities. Showers were hot all the time, the kitchen is spotless and well equipped and there is a large supermarket 5 minutes walk away which we found useful. Breakfast is included in the price and it´s not ¨hostel slop¨, you get real food cooked when you want it - it´s nice and always something different which is a far cry from the same old ¨toast and cheap jam¨ from other places we´ve stayed. Theres a roof terrace which is nice for relaxing and the hostel is very secure. It´s about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Zocalo, overall we found it to be a great value place. They also have a laundry service and tour booking, although we caught the local buses out to the villages as they stop on the main ring road which is at the end of the street.

Stayed here in a twin room for 4 nights and can't really fault the place. The owner kindly picked us up from the bus station at the agreed time, and was a very pleasant lady who spoke very good English. The rooms are basic but clean, with private bathroom, cable TV, desk/chair, and fan upon request. The breakfast was different each day and varied from eggs a la mexicana, to pancakes, to tortillas. The kitchen is available for guest use, and the WiFi was fast, and usable from our room. The only negative would be that I can imagine the rooms being very hot in the middle of summer, as they were quite warm even in early December, but they do supply fans. The location is about a 15 min walk to the Zocalo, and there is an excellent supermarket 5 min up the road. Highly recommended.
