Adriatic Hostel is newly renovated and has beautiful interior design with modern furniture. According to the owner, who is a lawyer in Canada, the decoration is just for the youth's style. Outside the hostel, there is a green market, which offers convenience for grocery and shopping. It is definitely the best choice to stay in Split, with reasonable price and good location.
The Location
The hostel is well located and is easy to find. It's near the old town, promenade, and the ferry ports as well as the bus station. With about five to ten minutes' walk, you can find all the public transportation, such as airport bus, ferry to islands, train station, and cross-country buses.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorm rooms are great with different colours. They are really clean and tidy and provide plenty of space to move around. Each room has TV. Security seems fine, with locking doors to both rooms and main entrance. Although the bathrooms are shared, each has about four showers. The bathrooms are very bright because they are decorated in white and red -- very stylish. They are also very clean and have space to change and hooks for your clothes as well as shelves for your shampoo.
Common Spaces
The common areas are excellent. They have three computers for free internet. There is a big room with a big sofa and a big LCD TV where you can play DVDs. There is a huge fridge and washing machine in the common area. It is a great place to meet people and get chatting.
Summary
Overall, we like this hostel very much and we were so lucky to find it, as it's not listed on travel websites or travel guides. We highly recommend it to Split visitors.
