Having opened on the 14th of July 2008, the Backpacker Hostel is one of the most modern hostels in Nha Trang City. Operated by Highland Tours, one of the area's most respected hospitality companies, the Backpacker Hostel is located in the main tourist area and is a mere 5 minutes walk from the pristine beaches of Nha Trang.
Hostel facilities include free WI-FI and internet terminals, tea & coffee making facility. Book exchange and DVD’s are available for loan. A full car / motorbike rental service, visa extension, bus/train/plane and tour booking service is available at the reception desk.
Fun times begin with a complimentary welcome drink from our sister bar The Red Apple Club - one of the hottest bars in town. The hostel runs regular promotions for guests which include discounts and other offers at our Bar and Restaurant.
Recently opened, The Green Apple Restaurant provides our customers with the best in Western and Vietnamese cuisine. Situated within the complex it is easy to relax in the tranquil garden setting or dine indoor’s. A comprehensive menu that caters for the most discerning tastes is provided by our locally renowned Chief Chef and his team. All guests of the Backpacker's House receive a complimentary cooked breakfast daily.
The Green Apple Restaurant is open from 6am to 10pm providing a full breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
The Backpacker’s Hostel provides a warm welcome and our friendly staff will be pleased to assist with any of your enquiries.
We also provide a pick up service from the airport at a very competitive price.
The company is firmly involved and committed in providing sponsorship to the Anh Dao Orphanage located on the outskirts of Nha Trang. Through our Trust fund- Hearts of Nam Foundation (www.heartsofnamfoundation.com), one dollar from every booking goes towards providing necessities such as food, medicine, clothes and educational material to the 70+ children currently residing at the orphanage.
If sufficient interest is shown the company is happy to provide free transport to the orphanage on most Sundays; the welcoming smiles this provides to the children is reward enough in itself.
We also run specific fund raising events and activities from time to time; and we happily accept any donations.

I stayed in girls dorm. Really clean and fresh room. Internet access and an actual okay free breakfast in morning. Definitely one to meet other travelers in. Bar next door, quite loud, but great fun.

Could not recommend this hostel highly enough. My iphone was stolen by a dodgy moto driver after I got off an overnight bus at 5am and the hostel was incredibly helpful - not only did they offer to translate my police statement, the receptionist drove me to the police station later in the day so he could translate what the cops said for me. Made a bad day a hell of a lot easier.

Located just round the corner from the beach, lots of bars and places to eat near by, has its own club which is seemingly the place to be in Nha Trang before midnight! Club has good drinks promotions (2 for one draught beers and free drink on your first night), restaurant is excellent, tasty and at a good price, also free cocktaiil with any main meal, free fruit salad after a meal and staff are very friendly. Free breakfast is also a good size with 3 good options! Also club staff very friendly, security guard alwats making sure you watch out for your bag!

Stayed in private room which was pretty nice especially for amount paying, good way to meet people, I felt safe and secure enough as single female traveller (although you could reach over and take any door keys hanging in reception without major issue in early hours of the morning if you had still left them at reception..?!), staff fine

Good place to meet other travellers with a great bar to start off your night. Good cocktails to and they gave me and my friend welcome vouchers for a any drink at the bar when we arrived, awesome!

Very good hostel, prime location, good aircon (a must in this heat!) in each room, a great bar and restaurant attached. The only downside was there was a single bathroom in each dorm for 14 beds! Also a couple of lockers malfunctioned, meaning the door of mine came off as I've opened it, while another opened in instead of out! However, maintenance staff were straight at it. A very pleasant and enjotable stay.

Very sociable hostel - its easy to meet people, also as the hostel is next to the apple club its easy to sit and drink with other travellers. i had so much fun in my four days here and made some good friends.

Great location, less than 5 minute walk from the beach and tons of shops and amazing restaurants around. Very much a busy party hostel with a decent restaurant and bar and free breakfast before 10. Pretty new and comfortable beds in mixed dorm (female dorm looked even nicer), a/c at night.
