Description
Our philosophy is to offer an excellent pub to watch sport and play pool whilst at the same time being an attractive venue for women. We are very large, accommodating a couple of areas with different atmospheres to attract a good mix of clientele. The locals area is a quiet place where customers can talk with one another over a quality pint and meal. Food is served every day from a main menu. Serving meal from a choice of menus, either from the traditional British pub selection or from the Indian menu which offers a host of homemade curries and sizzling platters. The whole pub has a trouble free and female friendly atmosphere. This includes the sports area where there are pool tables and big screens showing live football. There is a number of bed and breakfast rooms available with are designed with contractors in mind; all have colour television with communal kitchen. Over recent years The Farmers has grown in popularity, only accepting good people and having a smart dress code, no baseball caps or tracksuits. Join our friendly staff and regulars for a great time.

3 the pub downstairs is faboulous, but the room was cold and the bathroom wasn't clean. Also water came in from the frame of the window, because it was raining   — marco mocellin (2009-11-01) Hostelbookers

5 The Staff was very frendly   — Santiago Ogalla Alvarez (2009-08-07) Hostelbookers
4 If you are tired and you do'nt want to go out on a Saturday night, don't go there to rest because the rooms are just on top of the pub and you will have to bear the music and the chats of the people in the toilets. Avoid sleeping in room # 2 because of the noise of the fridge's engine outisde. What's more, don't open the microwave oven in the kitchen! That was for the bad side of the pub... Otherwise, the staff there were really nice and helpful, the atmosphere was really good and the place was really nice! Julie and Sebastien, 2 French people...   — Sebastien CONSTANT (2009-07-19) Hostelbookers
