Tina’s is still new as it was only opened in late 2008. Laosong, who owns and runs this hostel, has several years experience of backpacking and serving backpackers. The two hostels he ran in Kangding and Jiuzhaogou before he came to Chongqing were both recommended by Lonely Planet 2007 edition. He came to this city for his girlfriend Tina, who he met and fell in love with in Lijiang. Tina is a Chongqing girl, and always trying to find out great places for fellow travellers in her home town. She lived in the UK for several years, and understands the difference between Western and Chinese cultures. The two are putting all their effort to make this place a home for travellers from around the world.
Three small old buildings have been converted to the hostel, and it can be really fun running around all stairs. This also provides plenty of outdoor areas, and a guaranteed biggest roof garden in downtown Chongqing.
Tina always uses ‘UNIQUE’ to describe Chongqing, not only because she loves her home town, but also the fact that you cannot find such a city in rest of China.
Welcome to Chongqing! And welcome to Tina’s.

I really enjoy my statying here. It is convenient to take any buses to the places of interest. Traffic inn really closes to the tourism bus sation in chengdu. The room is nice with air-condioning, which makes nice sleeping here. Really recommend !!!

Hostel is in a good location. Price for food and drinks aren't extortionate, as they are in a lot of Chinese hostels. Beds are reasonably comfy and the staff are helpful.

The hostel is located in one of the last old parts of the city and has a very nice rooftop. Our double room was very clean but had only a small window.

The stuff is very friendly. Good location, only a few minutes walk to the shopping-streets. Around the corner there is also a supermarket. And they have a very nice roof-terrasse with great view!

Almost everything. The staff were helpful for getting train tickets and even advised us we could pick up cheaper tickets onto Chengdu in the town centre rather than pay a booking fee with them. The perfect place for a lazy day as they have a few english dvd's through the tv in the room which was amazing. Comfy bed, clean room and wi-fi.

I had a warm and friendly welcome at Tina's hostel. The staff offered five star service, but the room rate was very cheap. I had a good time there and the hostel exceeded my expectations.

The hostel was in an interesting location away from the tourist crowds. There were good communal areas, especially the rooftop terrace, and the food in the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful. In general it was a very relaxing place to stay.
