Amazing place to stay absolutely amazing!! i'll be back somehow, someday. — chie , malaysian (2010-08-31)

The Dragon Inn is a budget floating hotel and restaurant built on stil 5 in walk to the main bus terminal and city markets. The Dragon Inn is next to the jetty which many people catch a boat to Sipadan or Mabul for scuba diving and snorkling.
Dorm beds in longhouse style accommodation start from 15RM per night with communal bathrooms. Private rooms with TV, air con, bathroom start from 66RM per night. Pay a little extra for seaview rooms. Linen is provided. Don't expect too much from this place other than location and a cheap bed. Some of the rooms have beautiful sea views whilst others are dark and damp. Some dorm rooms look more like they belong in a prison block and there has been reports of rats and roaches. Keep this in mind when you check in, ask to have a look at a few different rooms because there are a few gems. The accommodation facilities are huge so there should be plenty to choose from. Don't be too shy to be choosy.
There's a restaurant serving alcohol, Pearl City Restaurant and a couple of communal areas and Internet facilities.
Good for the price and location, if only staying one or two nights it's doable. Most people stay here as a means of getting out to the islands to dive and snorkle- most boats leave early in the morning right next door. There's a few rockin expat bars nearby and plenty of Asian and western food options. — Kamala , Australia (2008-09-30)
