Butterfly has to be seen to be believed. The reception area has long since been closed and it looks more like a ghost house than a guesthouse, however if you don't judge a book by its cover and walk up the narrow path around the rock cliff you'll find some of the most amazing chalet views on the island. The always chilled-out owner Barry, will show you to your chalet (if he can be found) -- otherwise look for a key hanging on the door and help yourself, check in yourself by writing in the book in the reception area. Rooms have double beds, mosquito nets, private balcony, en-suite with cold shower, and some furniture. Electricity is generally off from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Coral Bay is usually the boat's first stop. From the jetty you walk right, keep walking all the way along the beach about five-hundred meters or so and the very last place you come to is Butterfly.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Rooms are basic, clean, with almost makeshift homemade-style chalets. Don't expect razzle and dazzle for this price but remember, it's the view -- it's all about he view. There is a doom room but hardly worth it -- for a few extra RM you get your own and there are discounts for long termers.
Common Spaces
The ocean is right in front of you, with crystal clear blue waters and twenty meters' visibility.

We went for four days, discovered Butterfly Chalets, and ended up staying three months in paradise for the cost of the equivalent of a couple of pints of lager in most countries. This place is highly recommended.
