4  Clean, quiet, convenient, friendly I find this place nice, quiet, and clean. I understand that the management has been changed and the Manager in Charge is very friendly! We have now became friends. i like the simple clean facilities. kitchen is ok. with Internet access, I personally find it is a good deal. transport is so convenient. Just cross the road, and there are free inner city shuttle bus to bring us around!  , Singapore ()
3  Welcoming, spacious, and reasonable rates We stayed here for four months last year. It was the best value and ten minute walk to City centre. The hostel was well managed -- we felt safe. The only problem was it could have been more cleaner, we got cleaning products ourselves to "blitz" the room! Other than this we were happy. I would recommend this hostel. The manager at the time was very good and we became friends!  , irish ()
2  Guy who runs need to take a look at what he wants out of life! This was a great spot for town, Nice pool, Clean. One problem was the guy that runs it obviously hates backpackers! Possibly not the best vocation for him then!  , UK ()
4  Had a good time here. Got off to a shaky start but after a couple of weeks met some interesting people. This was a pretty dodgy place when I was there though, a load of miners and the owners were physically fighting most nights. However it was strangely appealing. Full of either scum bags or brilliant people. Really cheap, close to town and there's a decent supermarket and BWS next door.  ()
2  the hostel was ok but did lack a bit of atmosphere however the really big problem was that the aussie night manager was a real arse who was really rude when he got pissed and made life very unpleasant for the guests. when you are travelling and paying to stay in these places you should be treated with a bit more respect, i hope that idiot has gone now.  ()
5  I stayed here in 2003 and it was the best. I met loads of good mates and it was so handy to town!! But the night manager is a grumpy guy. Also I shared a room with a psycho. Don't worry though, she is long gone and all hostels have their nutters.  ()
2  I lived here for a few weeks. The people staying there were good, but the manager was a major asswipe. He was VERY unpopular with all the guests I spoke to. It would have been a great backpackers if not for the manager. I could give you examples but I don't think the Internet has the space! So it gets 2 out of 5 stars.  ()
4  It was never quiet when I was there. I had a ball. There were parties nearly every night, although the manager was never too keen on this!  ()
3  This hostel is alright - nice and quiet. The staff person was very unfriendly at times.  ()
