Beatty Lodge is very popular with groups. It's a bit rundown - badly needs new carpet - but otherwise OK. Dorms can be large - my group had a 10-bed. The double rooms were small but clean and basic kitchen facities are available. One coin-operated internet terminal only. There's a pool and snack vending machines. Apart from groups It seemed to be the sort of place that attracts longer-term stayers such as international students.
