Dirty This place is disgusting! there is 2 female showers for the whole place and 1 of which u wouldnt go near because i dont think it has ever been cleaned and is in an old dirty bath. the other is not much better!! the rooms are small and to hot with no aircon and the place smells of piss!! there are old sofas that people that havnt even paid sleep on which are apparently full of bedbugs. The windows wouldnt open in my room as they were nailed shut!! However the people i met there were really nice and it has a good place out the front where you can drink and socialise. It is a good location close to the shops and nightlife. Only stay here if u dont mind the place being dirty!!! — Anonymous (2011-03-24) Awful Avoid this Hostel at all costs if you can -- people who don't even stay there wander around at night and steal food and/or your possessions. It is dirty, the staff are not interested in anything you have to say and there is a feral cat that roams around the kitchen which is nice and hygienic. Viva Aberdeen lodge. — michal prelovsky , czech republic (2010-09-09) sh*t hole. if you need to use the toilet, just take a sh*t in here, it will only improve the place. if you like drugs and fighting this is the place for you and your family. nothing works, u might possibly get a bit of water out of the tap but that is it. if you choose to get a disease then this is the place for you. if you have an addiction, this is also the place for you. its worth a look just for a laugh. go see ABERDEEN LODGE, NORTHBRIDGE 6003 (ex cons welcome). — ash , english (2010-01-01) Disgusting -- do not stay there I have never in my life stayed in such a hellhole. It is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in and I have traveled the world twice over. The whole place stinks to high heaven and the bathrooms havent seen a clean in months I would say. I wouldn't drink the water from the tap let alone cook a meal in this place the kitchen was disgusting with roaches everywhere. It's not even cheaper than the rest and be aware you wont get a refund if you pay up front for more nights than you can handle! I stayed there one night and it was the worst i had in a hostel. every half-hour a guy came in the room at night, turning the light on, looking for his "medicine." this happened about five times from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. I did not take a shower in the morning because the bathroom was a dirty hole! And i had bedbugs bites after this stay. My partner was interfered with, and then management denied any knowledge as it was by a friend of the manager. Thankfully it wasn't too serious but could have been a lot worse. When we told police we decided not to lay charges but they said the place is always getting visits by police and is renowned for drug dealing. It is terrible, stay very well away from here. — Dalhan Myrzeki (2006-06-12) Aberdeen Lodge is a perfect place to chill and relax! I didnt expect much by a price of 14$ pn, but i was surprised! I loved it! Sitting around the fireplace with a lot of cool people on a cold nite is an experience which you cant have in any other hostel! And they are not drugaddicted, aussie losers, they are relaxed and love to have fun! I came back for a second time and I still love it! I would have loved to stay there longer but i had to leave. I would recommend it to every backpacker with a small wallet and an open mind. Aberdeen Lodge Rocks! — Mel (2006-06-03) This place is possibly the worst in perth, even at $14 per nite its almost unbearable, management (if you can call it that, he is about 19 and dresses in rapper gangsta clothes..) has no idea and do not give a hoot about your quality of stay. The comments about drug availability are accurate and certainly not an exaggeration. If you like hanging around australian losers and being stoned 24/7 then you will love this place, otherwise steer clear. You feel like at you're at home. People are friendly; Pinky will be your friend as long as you give him jam on toast for breakfast. However, the place itself is a dive. Even with a good manager (Vic) you can't escape the musty linen, cockroaches, and mice in the kitchen. If you are on a hell budget, don't mind droppings in your breakfast, can deal with the bad insulation and cold rooms, stay here. Othwerwise, there are plenty of other good places close by.
