The Hostelz.com Review
Marcopolo Inn Iguazu is a pleasant hostel with a convenient downtown location. There are large common areas including a swimming pool/patio area and a bar, making this a friendly and sociable hostel.

The Location

This hostel is ideally located downtown and directly opposite the bus terminal -- it couldn't be easier to find! Its close proximity to the bus station is ideal for transport to Iguazu National Park, also within walking distance is Tres Fronteras (the spot from which you can see Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay) and being downtown it is also convenient for bars, restaurants, and shops.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The dorms are a decent size but not particularly well laid out. There are four lockers in a five-bed dorm, with the lockers (not big enough to house a large backpack) over the fifth bed -- making access somewhat challenging at times! However, there is a maid service so guests can enjoy a clean room and a freshly made bed daily. There is air-conditioning in the dorms but this is controlled centrally -- it is turned on in the evening and off again in the morning. Most dorms have en-suite bathrooms, which whilst decent in size do seem to lack hooks for clothes and in-shower shelving for toiletries. The dorms are lockable but there is only one key for each room so guests must collect/return the key from reception -- each guest must pay a deposit upon check-in.

Common Spaces

There are a few large common areas in which people can socialise. In the reception area you will find a book exchange, a lockable luggage storage, and two computer terminals that guests can use at no extra charge (the hostel also provides Wi-Fi for those with laptops). Next to reception is a TV room. The kitchen and self-catering facilities (including a fridge, oven, microwave, and BBQ), are located outdoors, there are a number of tables and chairs here as well as a large TV. There is a small swimming pool and patio area with further tables and chairs located next to the kitchen. The bar is situated at the front of the hostel and has ample seating. The hostel also provides entertainment here on certain nights for guests to enjoy, such as live music.

Summary

Overall, this well-located hostel is modern, relaxed, and friendly with plenty of communal space -- and all for a reasonable price!
