El Misti Hostel Yellow is a newly renovated modern hostel located in the “wonderful city” of Buzios. Surrounded by more than 23 beaches Buzios is located 180km NE of Rio de Janeiro.
It is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts or for those who love to just sit back and relax in the sun. El Misti Hostel Yellow is ideally situated on a quiet street near the downtown core where you will find all of the best shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Our location also provides a perfect spot for exploring the town as we are situated just off the main road that goes through the peninsula leading to all of it's magnificent beaches.
The hostel itself has all the charm, personal touches and amenities that one would want in a home away from home. We boast a large comfy common area where people can socialize or watch TV or one of our more than 300 plus movies. We also offer free internet access and wi-fi for those with their own laptops and we have a Nintendo wii for those who really miss home.
In our kitchen you will find all the utensils that you need to cook up a gourmet meal. We have also included a free communal collection of cooking essentials like oil, spices and other condiments to make your stay easier and to help you save money. Outside you will find our garden with a BBQ area, pool, and large deck where we host weekly BBQ parties, Brazilian style.
El Misti Hostel Yellow offers a variety of room options to meet your needs and budget. We have everything from air conditioned double rooms to a 7-bed mixed dormitory. In total we have seven rooms to choose from and every room contains an ensuite bathroom. In our dorm rooms each guest will find a large storage locker where they can safely store their belongings.
We would like to tell our guests that security is of the utmost importance to us. Buzios is a very safe town but to offer our guests peace of mind we have installed a 24-hour video-surveillance and security system.
At El Misti Hostel Yellow we try our best to make you feel at home. We will welcome you with a complimentary beverage and do our best to make your stay as good as possible.

Also, the hostel has a very good swimming pool.

- Staff is friendly, knowledgeable about the area, speak multiple languages and can book side trips or the fun Buggy's to drive around

The hostel had every facility you could need.. It was very close to the beaches of Buzios, the staff were very helpful but also great fun...
I dont speak spanish or portugesse and was concerned but this wasn't an issue at all as the staff spoke english..
I also had a tiny medical issue and the staff wrote down what i needed at the pharmacy and directed me there..
Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in, it felt like a hotel!! And if there is a BBQ you are very lucky!!

I hardly recommend this hostel if youre going to buzios.We stayed for 10 nights there and it was great! The staff is very friendly and usefull, always ready to help you.The hostel comes with nice breakfast until 10 am, the rooms & bathroom were clean every day. We stayed in a private room and it was great with view to the pool and hill with a hamac. There is a nice pool for chilling and meeting people.You have a good kitchen, tables, sofas, tv with movies, cable tv and wi and also a pc with free internet. Its absolutly great for meeting poeple and its totally worth it for what it cost.The only small issue is that is not in the plain center of buzios, but it only takes 10 minutes walking so its not such a great thing. Anyway you have a bus stop just 10 meters in front.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful-the welcome beer went down a treat!!! Rooms do get quite hot with the wall fan. Loved the chilled out atmosphere and the wide flat screen with heaps of films to watch!!! (Only thing was that it was right in center of reception so somtimes got a little noisy!) But overal we loved the hostel-pool was fab!

Awesome hostel. Unlike anywhere Ive started. Its basically a number of houses down the side of a small hill. The living room has wif-fi, plasma tv and a Wii. The owners are really cool and it's a lovely place just to chill out. Buzios is great but i could have happily hung around the hostel all day! oh and there is a pool on one of the terraces. If only we had that here in Rio....

I would agree with all the other comments, Clarisse and Keith are perfect hosts. The hostel is a lovely homely place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn´t hesitiate to recommend to other people.

I likes everything. The owners were very nice and helpful with just everything such as the other staff members. The rooms were big and very nice as well as very clean. The Hostel itself felt like coming home and it offers any kind of entertainment such as TV, Internet, Play Station, big couches to relax and of course not to forget the supercute dog Shoyu:)
