The Hostelz.com Review
An HI hostel in a residential area in the outskirts of Madrid. It takes at least 35 minutes for the combined walk, bus ride, and metro ride to the center of town. The rooms and bathrooms are of average grade. They're resonably clean and the showers have a decent sized private changing area. The hostel has several small common areas, including an eating area with a TV and vending machines. One of the more interesting features of the hstel is the building itself which is a large A-frame triangle shaped building.

3  Mix Impressions of This Hostel But all good overall This hostel is in the area of San Fermin. From the Centre of Madrid/Palaze Real and Van Goff Musems Plaza Mayo, it is a twenty-minute train ride from Station San fermin to Station SOL or Either Gran Via. The metro in Madrid is easy to understand if you have a map with you at all times. cheap so its ok for this hostel to be way out. The hostel is dark and boring looking. I was there for four days three nights and did not meet one english speaking backpacker. It was good in terms you meet different people but you do not speak there language you wont be talking for days like me. the staff speak lots of different languages -- english, spanish, french, italian. The breakfast was great -- its huge!, coffee, tea, OJ, bread rolls to toast, Cereal, milk -- lots, you will like it. hard to interact with people unless they're in your dorm room. this place is cheap and has a lot of rooms. i booked this hostel hours just before i arrived in madrid when ten other hostels were booked out.  , Auzzie ()
4  I was there 6 great days: the staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, and there was a lot. Only the coffee was very light... :o) There were many foreign visitors, and they were interesting. It was not too far from the centre (10-15 min. from the Sol), and the surrounding is quiet, but a little noisy in the hostel (thin wall between the rooms), and there was high humidity. But that was no problem. I will be back. Let's meet there! :o)))  ()
