The Hostelz.com Review
The Pink Palace is the ultimate party hostel. In fact, it's more like a resort than anything else. Situated on the Island of Corfu in Greece, this hostel has 800 beds, but has been known to "find space" for up to 1100 guests at once! If you stay four nights, the fifth night is discounted.
The rooms are nice. They offer two types: one with air conditioning, nicer showers, and terraces, and the other without. There is maid service everyday that will change your sheets, bring you fresh towels, and clean the bathroom.
Along with your room, you also recieve two meals per day. Breakfast is the best you'll get on your travels. Every morning has a selection of bread, jams & nutella, fruit, coffee and juice, like any other hostel. However, there is also a hot component every morning, something like amazing omelettes, or eggs and hash browns. You also have a choice of cold cereal.
Dinners are three course meals - a vegetable soup, a salad (you get to choose what's on it), and an entree with bread. Then the staff sits you down randomly in tables of 8 people, so you're guaranteed to meet people. After dinner, the hall becomes a dance club. Make sure you're there on Saturday night, for a crazy toga party complete with Greek dancing, Ouzo chugging, plate smashing, and beer races. It's a crazy party not to be missed.
There are a ton of activites available through the hostel including kayaking (with snorkels), ATV rental, massages, a booze cruise (all day cruise with TONS of alcohol and cliff jumping), etc. Internet access is somewhat slow, but affordable.
The Pink Palace is a highly recommended hostel for young social travellers looking to have a good time.

Pink Palace is the place to be My stay at pink palace can be summed up in one word AMAZING!!! My best friend and i stay at pink palace for two weeks, We enjoyed our self immensely. The service is great before you even arrive to the hostel. they provide free pick up from the port/or airport. the environment of the hostel was resort like. They offer free breakfast and dinner, which by the way was really good. The rooms are very cozy also offering a balcony allowing you to view the amazing scenery. We were only minutes from the beach which was great and there is also a jacuzzi. It was very relaxing in the day and fun in the night. There is always something to do so we were never bored. They offered kayaking for only 15 euros for the day. for only 20 euros we got a tour of the island on a atv safari which was so worth it. The night life was great they had parties every night located on the resort which was a bonus. The rooms were great very quite so the nights when we decide to stay in so we were not disturbed. hot showers fresh linen, towels and clean room every day. oh and there was FREE WIFI. I mean what more could you ask. i recommended it to anyone who is visiting corfu island. — jessica marina , new york city (2012-02-02)

A little Paradise on the Beach! Pink Palace is located at Agios Gordios Beach on Corfu island in Greece, and is the first island when you come to Greece across from Italy, is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It's relaxed during the day and when busy a party at night. It's built into a hillside right above one of the nicest beaches on Corfu, surrounded by green, beach, and mountains. There's snorkeling and cliff-diving right there. Prices are from 20 to 30 euro for small dorms or private hotel rooms, including a full breakfast and restaurant-quality 3 course home cooked dinner. It's family-run, and the atmosphere is really friendly. The owners will help you out with whatever you need, calling Greek travel agents or renting Quad. There's linens, internet, FREE WIFI and laundry service. They do it for you. And the sunset views are the best on the island.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who is heading to Corfu, they have something to suit everybody, the rooms are amazing, daily cleaning service, spotless, huge tasty dinners, relaxing beach walks, and the night life is far way from the rooms, so you do not have to worry about noise. We also met families staying there with young children and they loved it. Definitely go kayaking and enjoy the amazing views. Would go back any time, most travelers i met there extended their stay. — Samantha Jones , Melbourne, Australia (2010-03-02)

Relaxing beach vacation! After hearing tons of good things from many friends who travel, I headed down to the Pink Palace for a week with my girlfriend. This place exceeded both of our expectations, which is impressive since I've only ever really heard good things. Beautiful beach, great authentic greek three-course dinners and hearty breakfasts (both of which are included in the room price), incredible staff. There were so many fun activities, we went on a boat cruise and ATVing. The guides were great and definitely made the outings! The free pickup from the airport was a welcomed bonus. All in all, a great romantic getaway, super relaxing, and an unbeatable price! The perfect beach vacation! — jack , Australia (2009-09-06)

The best! I was at pink Palace last Summer with my three friends and our boyfriends and we had the time of our life. It is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The food was great and everything had the feeling of being at a resort! You don't need to spend any money to have fun since breakfast, dinner, internet, and transportation are free! — Amanda , Mexico (2009-05-26)

Unique We heard about the palace when we were in Greece and had to check it out. We had a blast; it was our second hostel in a six-week trip, it was the middle of July and beautiful, and we were two twenty-year-old guys. You have a blast. If you want to. We rented kayaks from an old woman in a shanty on the beach for $15 (for two kayaks, all day) and spent day one on the Ionan Sea. The next day we spent $20 a pop on an ATV safari, which was a blast. They took us all around the island and to a few bars as well. The locals hated us, but they'll get over it. Be careful though, there are some steep hills that are really scary to be driving on. They feed you, and host parties all night, they even sell beer all night at great prices. No lock on the door, no AC means an open door. We woke up to some Aussie chump in our room going through our stuff, so we did what you will do if that happens -- close your door on him and get your $$ back forcefully. It worked out well (for us at least). Also this hostel is kinda loud, so if you came there for a quiet time you're gonna be upset. All in all -- loved it. — John H , USA (2009-03-17)

A travelers pink paradise! I had been traveling for two months before i came across the pink palace and am so happy that i did. i met some people on the ferry from brindisi that told me amazing stories about the place so i thought i would check it out. man i was happily surprised! i shared my room with one other guy and we had plenty of space -- our own bathroom and a balcony with an incredible view of the sea. i paid 20euro a night and definitely got my moneys worth! free breakfast and dinner with enough food to actually fill me up! lunch was great too -- a lot to choose from! hit up the beach a couple days and took a quad out with some people for the day -- such a great time! we went into town and all over the place! it is amazing there. i can only imagine what the summer would be like! with their nightclub open and tons more people. one things for sure. i am definitely going back! — Adam (2009-01-11)

Corfu is the place to be! Forget the islands people have always been talking about. Corfu is the place to be! I stayed in The Pink Palace a couple weeks ago and had an amazing time! My room had an amazing view of the sea and I was sharing with only two more guys. It's the deal if you want to enjoy a mix of sun, beach, and partying! Of the numerous activities available, you just can't miss the Booze Cruise! Pack your bags and prepare your liver! Good times, good times! — jim , Canada (2008-07-02)

my sister and myself went to the pink palace in may 2006. we heard so many good things about the hostel and decided to check it out for ourselves. ferry ride from brindisi was horrible, there wasnt any seats so we slept on the floor, then when we got into the port we had to run to catch the ferry to corfu or get stuck there for the night. we met two other girls on the ferry who were also going to the pink palace and between the four of us we had all called the night before to checked and make sure the palace bus was going to pick us up. but there was no one, finally the athens bus pulled up and the driver had heard nothing to us getting picked up but instead of helping us or calling the hostel he sexually harassed us outside the bus terminal. after catching a cab to the hostel we walked in the lobby and got bitched out by the manager saying he woke magda up to pick us up but she never showed. our first night was a gong show. the captain of the booze cruise helped him to self to feeling up girls in the bar and did so the next day as we climbed back into the boat on the booze cruise. a couple days into our trip a girl flipped her four-wheeler and rolled down a steep hill. none of the management did anything for her. only people who ever helped anyone at the hostel were the young american and canadian workers. food was horrible at the pink palace. just horrible the staff actually told us to go eat in the town. we stayed for nine days all together because we wanted to go to the toga party which i highly recommend but on day four or five of our trip, we went down for dinner to find nothing. no one around to say what was going on and around two hundred hostelers looking for their free dinner, as we walk back up the steps to the main part of the hostel we find a staff member swearing at george and george chasing him up the street ready to fight, he then got a four-wheeler and chased his staff member. turns out george fired him, held his passport, wouldnt pay him because he heard the guy said his girlfriend was a bitch. within the next hour, around ten staff members walked out stating they were used and abused by george the hostel was going bankrupt and no never work there. they all said during the course of our stay that it was a horrible place to be but because george had their passports and was paying under the table they werent yet able to leave. not sure whats changed since then but there are way better places in greece and even corfu to stay than the pink palace. — Hayley , Canadian (2007-04-12)

Best hostel in the world! I stayed there as a guest in '04 and '05. Had the time of my life. This place is not for families traveling, but if you're backpacking for a long stint and need a vacation from your vacation this is the place to go and just let loose. Great hostel for young travelers and affordable (two meals a day, free nightclub, and free drinks during the Ouzo Circles). A solo-traveler's must visit location! The staff is super friendly and make you feel like one of the gang right upon arrival. And, yes, they all are a little crazy, but who likes ordinary, honestly? You'll leave with some great stories. I sure did. — John (2007-02-25)

This hostel was a ton of fun if you can get your mind off of how sh*t everything else is. The website says they never turn anyone away, that's because they over book this place so if they're full and you have a reservation, well too bad! They provide a bed in their luggage room that you can sleep in and they will try to find you a bed the next day. That's what they did to four of us girls who had made our reservation three months in advance. We slept on the floor in the massage parlour for 15 euro each and then they put us in an A class room the next day that smelt like sewage and cost us 30 euro even though we booked a B class room for 25 euro! We spent five nights there and asked everyday for them to come and fix our toilet that didn't flush and smelt really bad. We soon found out a lot of the rooms smelt like sewage, so they never fixed it and by the time we left all of our clothes smelt like sh*t! Other than that the place is actually a lot of fun, there's parties every night and dinner is pretty decent! The beach and location are breathtaking and can't be beat, so you make a sort of trade off! All the staff suck, they all have a serious attitude problem, so don't expect any help from them! This hostel is all about drinking and sex so if you want to degrade yourself during your stay this is the place you're looking for! — Jen Z (2006-09-15)

It is fun and crazy like everybody says it is. I had a great time with all of my spanish friends that I met on the ferry over. We stayed down on the beach -- great location until you have to walk back up. Our room had a shower that worked sometimes and a fan that didn't. But hey, that's not why you come to the Pink Palace right? If you are looking for a fun environment with people from all over the world than this is the place. — Dave (2006-08-16)
Eeek. Ok, don't get me wrong nice party atmosphere going on, nice beach, but that's where the fun ends. Dave, the night manager (big, fat guy with spiky hair) has to be one of the most obnoxious, sarcastic, and rude persons to work in a job where people skills are required. Got placed in a room that took me half an hour to get to the main facilities and any time you had a problem down there 'go see reception' who would generally find every excuse under the sun not to help. Not exactly a cultural experience of corfu, just one big, trashy pink set of buildings with not many places to go to should you decide (like the majority of us there) to want to run away. No running water, broken internet that ran at the pace of a snail, and very nasty food on offer at mealtimes, Dr. George telling all the ladies to 'flash your boobies and expletive for down below on the cliff dive excursion,' and a whole token spanish travellers sitting around talking rudely in their native language about fellow travellers and plotting where to thieve their next digital camera, wallet, or other valuable from. If you get by on alcohol and a party atmosphere but don't care about facilities, value for money, or good customer service/hospital it's probably your ideal place, but travellers with brains, culture, standards, wanting a romantic getaway, good facilities, or a family beware of that place! — Globetrotting_Londongal (2006-08-11)
Most overrated hostel in perhaps all of Europe. These place is more like a resort gone wrong that you are trapped at. Since you are thirty minutes from corfu city you are stuck at the resort. You are forced to eat their sh*tty food and drink at their sh*tty bar(s). The beach is nice but when the weather is bad you hate your life. You are not enjoying corfu all you are seeing is this trashy pink hostel. They make so much money here it is pretty ridicoulous. I was so thankful to hop on the boat to Italy. Either stay in Corfu city center or don't go to the island at all is my advice. — Daphne (2006-08-10)

I was here in the off season, so there wasn't much to do other than hang out around the hostel, but we did go atving which was awesome. The food was really good, and it was super social and a great place to meet people. I found just about all of the staff to be really friendly, overall it was great. I can't wait to go back in the busy season and party! (but beware of the groove shot!) — Kath (2006-08-03)
Awful and dodgy. Female travellers beware. There is always an agenda. I was a worker here and forced to leave due to sexual harrassment. I am currently in the process of alerting the British Embassy in Greece. Dr. George is a dangerous man. — Anonymous (2006-07-05)
