Description
Enjoy the best view of Budapest from our wonderful balcony overlooking a beautiful theater and some of the nicest buildings in the city and be amazed at the features of our own magnificent 110-year-old building. Stay at The Groove and get to know the real Budapest!

The Groove offers comfort, quality and style to make sure you enjoy Budapest and make the most of your stay. Cleanliness is an absolute must for us and our orthopedic mattresses will make you sleep like a baby so you can be fresh and ready for your adventure in the city the next day.

24-hour reception by our helpful local staff means your needs are always taken care of, and you will never be short of information on what to see and do here. In case you prefer finding your own info you can go online anytime on our computer or use the wireless network, all for free. If you are looking for company, find a cooking partner in the fully equipped kitchen, hang out with fellow travellers in our lounge or watch a movie in our cozy TV-corner. In addition to the lounge area, all our spacious rooms offer chillout areas for you to enjoy the beautiful view and make new friends.

The Groove is located in the very heart of the city in what is probably the nicest area for travellers and locals alike. Just 3 blocks from Nyugati train station, the center of public and long distance transportation and 2 blocks from the Danube river. You are no more than a 10-minute walk from anywhere you may want to go including the main tourist attractions such as the Parliament, the Basilica or Margaret Island, as well as great nightlife and shopping areas plus some hidden treasures of the city that only we can tell you about...
Our building features a 24h-pub and one of our favorite cinemas in town with foreign movies and original sound, with a non-stop restaurant just across the street and 3 grocery stores and a dozen cafes and bars within 2 blocks.

Be careful, a stay at The Groove is so pleasant you will not want to leave!

5 A great place to stay!
A really great atmosphere! The staff are really friendly and helpful (they also take you to the best pubs). The location of The Groove is really good, near the river, near the Parliament and close to Nyugati Station. If you are headed to Budapest, stay at The Groove Hostel!

4 Excellent location, building, staff, cleanliness
A very good hostel in an excellent location in Budapest. This is not a party hostel but a place to relax and have interesting conversations with other travelers. Their balcony has a fantastic view and feels almost regal. The only reason I did not give five stars was because their foot lockers are poor and there is some street noise which could be bothersome if windows were left open (fixed with some cheap earplugs).
