Excellent -- better than many hotels!
We stayed in a double room in December 2008. The room was amazing (by hostel standards!) -- the building is new so everything was spotless. We had a huge bed with hotel style bedding, 32" Plasma TV and en-suite room with power shower. The view was out over the Lake. Perfect. Kitchen had a wooden balcony for you to sit out on. BBQ area outside and a modern bar -- used by locals too so a good vibe (when busy which isn't too often). Would definitely recommend -- best place we stayed in NZ. Wanaka is beautiful too. Good mix of bars/restaurants/pubs/shops.
