2  Don't expect much. I booked, and paid online for 2 nights. When I got there, they had no clue that I was coming or if I paid online. I was forced to pay again for the 2 days. There are 3 rooms, and only 2 of them had AC, and the third had a fan. I constantly had to ask for toilette paper, or wait for the cleaning lady to go buy some. I did not expect much out of $10 hostel, but I never imagined the owner would be selling drugs to travelers. The drug dealing was not in front of everyone, but you could tell of the business. The location is excellent.  , USA ()
3  Small and uninteresting There are three dorms. Two have air conditioning and the other a fan. There are no private rooms, which is what our reservation was for. After agreeing to an air conditioned dorm we paid, only to be told the next day (by the owner) that we had not paid enough. There is no tour desk, no safety deposit box, no book exchange and no free breakfast. There is a kitchen, but it is sorely lacking cooking utensils and silverware (the owner did eventually by some plastic disposable spoons) which were washed and reused. The free coffee was water and coffee boiled in a pot on the top of the stove, always weak and always full of coffee grounds. The internal patio, which is upstairs, has one hammock (the only one the hostel has) and this small space doubles as a place to hang your sandy towels and beachwear. There are two TVs. One for watching and the other for connecting the play station. There is a stereo as well. All of this is in the small common area and at the owners request the music (usually raggaeton) is on all the time, therefore making it impossible to watch TV, unless you read Spanish (subtitles). They also do not rent any sporting equipment. The owner does arrange tours, but charges double for doing so. Half of the money goes to the tour and the other half goes in his pocket. Stealing from your guests is not cool. That said, I would never recommend this hostel. Added note: the owners favorite phrase to guests who question his business ethics is, "This is my hostel."  , United States ()
