Description
Pineapple Guesthouse is a very friendly family-run guesthouse. We welcome guests from all over the world. Singles, couples, families and groups are all welcome.
Your English and Thai hosts, Steve and Lek, have been running Pineapple Guesthouse for six years and by now they should know what customers want.
As well as the Guesthouse, Pineapple Cafe is open from November until April, serving Thai and Western food plus beers, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks.
There's no chill out or real communal area but many of our guests take advantage of the cafe and the area outside to relax and meet other travellers. There are also a couple of sofas dotted around the place for relaxing and chatting.
There's free wifi throughout plus internt facilities for those without laptops (also free).
We provide a reasonably priced laundry service but the machines are not for public use.
We rent out snorkelling equipment, golf clubs and DVD players.
We have a book exchange plus a number of travel books for reference, though you have to ask for those as they tend to disappear if left out!
We don't sell tours but we are happy to advise anybody about local activities, onward travel and help with any travel planning as Steve and Lek are well travelled throughout Asia and other parts of the world.
The atmosphere at Pineapple is very much down to the guests so we look forward to welcoming you.
Finally, we need to state that balance payment is by cash only in Thai Baht. We do not accept credit cards or other currencies.

A great place to stay. On the southern end of Karon beach, an easywalk to Kata Beach.

The place was quite basic, but it was great value for the price, and we only stayed 2 nights. There is free internet on a computer and free wi-fi, as well as (fuzzy) cable TV in the room. The room was spacious enough. There is a cafe for breakfast downstairs (as well as a few more in the area), but they don't open til after 7:30 or so. There is a really nice lady just down the road from the guesthouse who booked our airport transfers for us, and she drove us there herself - better than your average taxi! Karon beach was nice and fairly peaceful, and the guesthouse is not far from Kata, either. Both of those areas are much more relaxed than Phuket, and consequently don't have as many shops etc.

Friendly and helpful staff and great location away from Patong's seedy bars. Plenty of atmosphere and close to the beach and plenty of places to shop. Great value for money!

Very clean room, A/C was great, some bars close by which was handy but they werentloud enough to keep me awake at night. Only a 5-10min stroll to the beach. Friendly staff also, I'd definitely stay there again.

We had originally planned to stay only for 2 nights in the guesthouse but we liked the location and the area so we decided to stay another two nights. This wasn't a problem either, the staff were very flexible with allowing us to stay extra nights. We liked that Wifi was available in the rooms and that we were close to the beach (10 minute walk at most), shops and restaurants. Karon Beach was lovely too so well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend this place to other travellers it was very good value for money. Also the restaurant next door (Mamma noi's) was very reasonably priced and the food was lovely, they even gave my husband take away one morning for breakfast when I wasn't feeling well. It was also very helpful that Steve (the owner) agreed to pick us up from our previous accommodation in Patong for 300 baht as there aren't many metered taxis around. Thanks for putting us up we would stay again!

The staff were really friendly and helpful, our minibus was late for a trip we had booked and Lek asked us for a phone number so that she could find out where they were without us needing to ask to use the phone. The AC works really well in the room and there are some good, cheap restaurants in the area.

The facilities are basic - this is backpacker value for money accommodation - but they are still good. The beds were comfortable, the TV and aircon worked, the room was cleaned regularly and towels and bed linen provided. There is only one internet pc, but it is free to use and becomes a place to meet and chat with other guests, as its located outside the dorm room. Drinks and snacks can be bought at reception, but the restaurant next door is good and there are plenty of others close by, along with 7-eleven, ATMs and tour operators... and the beach is only a 5-10 minute walk.

I loved the location. It's away from patong ( which is overcrowded and has a dirty beach ) and is by the lovely beach karon. The wifi was good. Dorms were good. Decent bathrooms.

This was a fantastic find! The price was so cheap and was like a hotel! TV, fridge and safe in room. Ensuite bathroom lovely. We couldn't pick up the wifi at first but was fixed immediately after speaking with Steve who just rebooted the router and it worked perfectly the whole time then! Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. Great cheap food nearby including "The 3 Siblings" restaurant. Staff very kind and helpful - they gave us lots of tips for where to go nearby and also booked our ferry ticket for us to Phi Phi.

I stayed in the 10 bed dorm room, it was very clean and the beds were good for a hostel. I was very happy with my stay here. I ended up staying 5 nights. Good hostel for how much I payed per night. the staff was nice and helpful. Everything you need is with in walk distance from the hostel. beach is 5 mins walk, lots of restaurants, shops. Would stay there again if I returned to Phuket.
