Ok hostel but staff are not too flash The hostel is not too bad, fairly small and in a good location. One toilet seamed to always flood so we did not use that. Some of the staff were really nice but others were hopeless. One was very grumpy about noise and wanted the TV down to almost zero so she could talk on her cell phone. I stayed here for 4 night with 3 friends and on the last day the receptionist had a big fight with her boyfriend right in the common room, they then moved it into one of the dorm rooms. I had a late flight that got canceled so turning up back at the hostel at 2am possibly expecting a bit of sympathy since we had booked 12 nights between us but the receptionist just told me to leave because they were full, i offered to pay the full price if i could sleep on the couch and an english guy said he would give me half his bed but she kept saying no, she wrote down an address where she said another hostel was that she knew was empty but when I got there it did not exist so because of this i was stuck homeless in Budapest at 2.30am. These last 2 experiences really ruined what was otherwise not such a bad place. — BackpackKiwi , NZ (2008-07-08)
