Awesome stay! Although this was only my second hostel experience ever, I had a great time at this hostel. It is located in Manuel Antonio, about a 20 minute walk down hill from the beach (its really easy to get back up the hill too, there's a public bus that runs every 30 minutes from the main road, and only costs about 50 cents ($0.50). The hostel has a great kitchen and socializing space away from the dorm rooms so you can sleep in peace in your room, or socialize in the kitchen area without worrying you'll wake someone up. It's really close to a grocery store, but it also has its own restaurant and bar (good prices & they were very generous in making their mixed drinks!). There's also a small sized pool, and a hammock area, as well as a computer room with free internet, plus, every person staying there is given one free 10 minute international phone call per day. There was also a security guard there at night, which is good news if you have a worry-wort for a mom (like I do). Breakfast in the morning is pancakes and coffee, free of course.
