Description
PILAU hostel is located at the heart of the city centre, in close proximity to famous St.Petersburg place FIVES CORNERS. About 2 minutes walk from the Dostoevskaya/Vladimirskaya subway station and 5 minutes to the main city street Nevsky Prospekt.
We're surrounded by the museums, theaters, cinemas, cafeterias, pubs, bars, clubs, eating places, gardens and channels. Such tourist attractions as the Hermitage Museum, the Palace Square, the Kazan Cathedral, the Summer garden, the Russian museum, the Isaac's Cathedral, the Yusupov Palace and others in a close walking distance through the Hostel. It's easy reach us from the airport and railway stations. Moscow railway station just 15 minutes walk.
PILAU arrange for Your accomodation fully renovated comfortable rooms (hostel was full repaired in march 2008). You have a choice of 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-and 10- bed rooms. The total number of beds is 56. There are dedicated male and female rooms, however groups traveling together might be accommodated in one room at their request. New and modern WC/shower cabins on the floor, some rooms are fitted out with personal wc and shower cabin.
We do not provide breakfast, but you can use our self-service kitchen.

The room was good,but the staff who work in there,some of them are very bad,bad attitude and bad english.(the staff didnt told us the kitchen for staff only,so when we got into the kitchen put down the dishes after our breakfast,the staff shouted to us.very rude)

I stayed here only 1 night January, the room was excellent, very roomy, the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom facilities were top class and very clean, in fact the whole hostel was very clean and tidy. For internet i always used computers of hostel without any payment.
As for location, just a short stroll and you are on Nevsky Prospekt, the main street of St Petersburg, so i couldn't have asked for a better location. English speaking staff are always ready to help. Pilau Hostel made our trip to Russia so enjoyable, it was great to come back to the lovely room every evening! i'll come again, sure!

i was with my girlfriend in this hostel! And we liked all, very comfortable hostel, nice girls on the reception, and finally we could connect our parents from Internet! It's very hospitality hostel where we pass nice time in St Petersburg!

I was in Pilau Hostel only one night, but i'm very sufficient of it, Very good location in the old town of Saint Petersburg!!! Very quiet and clean room, and i was really amazing of cleanliness in the hostel, didn't expect it anyhow from Russia!!! Just a bit difficult to find, but it's not a big problem, there is number 38 and near the door, press 12 for entrance and on the first floor. Anyway i recommend this hostel 100%! Thank You So much girls! I hope to see you again!!!

Very helpful staff. The Rooms, kitchen, toilets and showers are always clean. The most sightseeing are in walking distance. This is one of the best hostels I've ever been. I will definitely stay in Pilau Hostel next visit to St. Petersburg

First of all, I would recommend this hostel to everyone!!! Really nice place, just a short walk from the Nevsky Prospect (main street). Located directly in the center close to metro station and train station, to Vladimirsky market and very good supermarket (L&Land), to cash automats and to all sightseeing in walking distance (palaces and churches, the State Hermitage Museum, the State Russian Museum, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Dvortzovaya Square (where main city celebrations take place). I very much appreciated the cleanliness of the hostel. I am delighted with the free additional services (free internet and PC, wi-fi, tea, coffee, linen, towels, use of washing machine…..). I lived alone in a charming 4 bedded room with plasma tv. I was recommended by lovely stuff to have a breakfast in a restaurant nearby. It was very tasty and chip. Thank you girls!!!

I didn’t expect hostel in Russia to be so clean and cozy. Staff is really helpfull and speaking fluently english. There’re actually free internet, WiFi and Skype! And FREE coffee&tea at kitchen. It’s possible to watch dvd in the kitchen. I paid only for my accommodation. There’s wonderful stucco on the stairs and in the room I lived. I was told that it’s 134 years old and has been renovated last year. The hostel is situated in the very center of the city, it’s about five minutes walk to the middle of Nevsky prospect, Rubinshteina is an adjacent street. There’re two minutes to the metro, so I didn’t spend money for trips: everything I wanted to see is on walking distance. Also it’s near train station (to Moscow etc), near Helsinki bus departure. Hope to stay in Pilau again!!!!
