5 I loved location - very convenient for Capital FM arena events or clubbing etc. Staff were doing more than you would expect in such a cheap hostel. Room was fine and bed were really comfortable and clean. I would definitely be back here in the future   — Customer review (2011-11-18) Hostelbookers
3 Hot shower, modern electric radiator for the room. The bed was comfortable compared to many other hostels I've stayed at in the UK. Staff was real nice and accommodating   — Michele Colomba (2011-11-10) Hostelbookers
3 It was my first time staying in a hostel, so, I don't really have much to compare it to. But the staff were very friendly, it was easy enough to find. Other travellers in the hostel were pleasant, friendly and nice. There was plenty of space in the room.   — Customer review (2011-10-21) Hostelbookers

5 Comfortable beds, not overcrowded, free WiFi and nice roof terrace. Also roof terrace is good addition to smokers. Staff was helpful, printed my tickets free of charge so I definitely would stay again here.   — Nick Armony (2011-09-02) Hostelbookers
2 Nothing over priced only has 2 bath rooms for all the dorms 2 toilets Over priced for the quality would have been better off in a hospital bed Dirty dive of a joint   — Customer review (2011-08-01) Hostelbookers
5 Near to arena and easy enough taxi to train station   — Customer review (2011-07-28) Hostelbookers
3 If you are a travelling backpacker trying to live cheap this is well worth the price, however you get what you pay for. If you're not fuzzy this will do and it's only a 10 walk into the town centre. We however are a couple and obviously didn't read all the text properly when booking because at arrival we were expecting a private twin room, this however proved to be a 6-bed dorm we got for ourselves. We were offered free parking in the back, also free wifi.   — Customer review (2011-07-16) Hostelbookers

1  Slightly above Dump! The "Hostel" is above a pub with working class clientele (very much so) near the old whole sale markets of the city. After the markets moved, it apparently didn't pay anymore. The eight spare rooms above (facing a busy thoroughfare) were given a coat of paint (never mind the cracks in the wall) and bunks put in. As this was done quite recently they are in reasonable condition. This also goes for the carpets and sheets. Unnecessary items like door knobs have been dispensed with. The creaking doors are sure to wake you up. Some efforts of improvement are visible. An outdoor rooftop terrace has recently been constructed. This is also the emergency to the fire ladder. The door to this gets LOCKED and DOUBLE BOLTED at night -- thus your best bet would be to jump out of the 2nd floor window in case of fire. Worst are the sanitary installations: Let me put it this way, in eight years of stay and travel in Asia I have used bathrooms worse than that, I just can't remember when. On the first floor is one toilet, never mind the piss stains on the floor. On the second floor a flimsy wall has been constructed halving a room into two "baths" both with a tub, one with a toilet. They are closed off by folding screens in such a way, that if one is in one "bath" it is not possible to leave if the other "door" isn't closed. The lovely gray grimy coating in the tubs keeps the rust away I suppose. To keep the wall "waterproof" behind one of the flow-through heaters a sheet of plastic was stuck to the wall, the edge of the tub was "set" with broken off tiles sticking over the ledge, so one could conveniently cut oneself (Pity I can't upload a picture). During our two nights stay no cleaning agent of any kind was applied, neither in the baths nor in the rooms, an overflowing bin notwithstanding. The 12 pounds charged for weekday nights would just be acceptable, having to pay 17 for Friday/Saturday is simply a rip off. (Stayed 16/17 June 2011)  , Germany ()
