We recently opened our doors for business. Our building has been fully renovated and is in a very central location in downtown Sofia. We are within walking distance of the main train/bus station and very easy to find. Just a few steps away from our front door is the biggest and most vibrant fruit and vegetable market in Sofia where bartering is common practice among the friendly locals.

The hostel itself is spotless. The utmost care has been taken to ensure that you have a comfortable and relaxed stay in clean yet funky surroundings.

We offer many extra services - Bar tours, Shooting Range Trip, Walking tour of the city, Vitosha Mountain tour, car hire and much more.

Location	From the main train/bus station: Leave the Central railway station and walk down the Maria Luiza Boulevard until you reach the Lions Bridge (Luvov Most). This means that from the railway station you'll have to turn left, in order to walk in the right direction. After (Lions Bridge) Luvov Most, continue walking down that boulevard for five more intersections. Walk down Pirotska Street which is the famous walking street. Walk along that street for four intersections. Turn right and walk down to the left hand side of the street and you will see a casino with a statue of a cowboy outside it. The Smokin Pig is beside the casino to the right. The entrance is right next to the Paint shop and the pharmacy. Look out for the Smokin Pig signs. If you come by subway, you need to get off at Cepanka Subway Station. Once you exit the station, you need to head westwards along bul. Todor Aleksandrov until you reach bul. Hristo Butev. Turn right at bul. Hristo Butev and then take the second right onto ul. Chiprovtsi. After, you need to turn left at ul. Bratya Miladinov and continue until you reach the destination.

The piggy I stayed there with 3 friends and we found the place to be a true patch of magic in the middle of a very grey place. The owner john was more than helpful and friendly. The place was perfectly clean as the girl working there, Z i think her name was, was always cleaning. Impolite and unprofessional treatment I am not a traveler, but recently I had to arrange a stay for fourteen American students in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the month of August, they stayed in the Smokin Pig hostel for two nights. The conditions in the hostel were great, but up to this moment, the owner of the hostel, John O Leary, has not provided us with the invoice we have required. Instead, his attitude was extremely rude towards us, his costumers. He did not answer phone calls, he hung up a couple of times and lastly he wrote me an impertinent email. Legal actions will be taken, but I do not wish other people to suffer his incompetence. Nice hostel but dirty and owner problems Hostel is good looking and could be really good place but the bathroom is filthy, floor is covered with dust, the dishes are not clean, fridge stinks.
