Matratzenlager Stocki is definitely your choice if you go to Lauterbrunnen. It occupies the ground floor of the house. The place has a great location with beautiful scenery surrounding as well as a great price -- probably you can get a whole floor if no one else lives there. (The occupancy is not high.)
The Location
It is easy to find -- it's located about three minutes from the station. Just cross the underway of the station to the other side and walk through a bridge. Turn right and walk straight around two hundred meters and you've reached the place.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There is only one room in the house with around twenty dormitory places -- it's separated into two sides with two big bunk beds. Room is small but it is clean with bed sheets provided. Also the house itself is quite spacious. There is one ensuite bathroom and another toilet in the house. It is very clean and steady hot water is provided.
Common Spaces
As it was originally a house, the common space would be the normal dining and sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped. And there is one common area just outside the house as well.
Summary
We are sure that you get a lot more than you paid for. One point to note, there is no entertainment provided there -- just some common spaces -- it is both great (for the freedom) and a pity (for the loneliness) if you live alone in the house like we did.

Quiet, beautiful setting, great place to crash, extremely nice owner I stayed here in the Spring of 2011 with two friends, our experience was fantastic! We were the only three in the cabin (because it really is a cabin, not a hostel) and we had tons of fun, cooking our own breakfasts and dinners every day with the full kitchen, and the sleeping room was great. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life, not only the hostel, but also the area. The hostel added to it immensely though, with its cabin feel and comfortable bunks, it was a great experience. Few people stay here, which was great for us, but I'm sure if there had been a few more it would have been a lot of fun too. All in all, I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for something a little more rustic. It is only a short hike from the Coop grocery, and close to the train station as well.
