The Tiger Paw is the best located hostel in Medellin. We are across the street from Parque Lleras which is the place to be in Medellin. We are surrounded by many bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and drug stores yet only a 5 minute walk to the metro.
We have worked extremely hard to pay very close attention to details to offer:
* Custom compartmentalized 2 meter bunks with reading light, shelf, and power outlets, which we believe could be the highest quality of any hostel in the world.
* Full queen sized beds in the private rooms.
* Large security lockers with key/lock included.
* Tourist info packages which outline our favorite sight-seeing attractions and exact directions from the metro.
* Tickets also available for purchase at the front desk for the same price as the metro without the hassle or long lines at the Metro station.
* Computer with free internet usage in the common area and free WiFi with the highest internet speed offered in Medellin, 1500 kps.
* Full-sized pool table in the bar area.
* Full bar with sound system.
* American owned and bilingual staff with years of experience living in Medellin.

Apparently, Hostelbookers allowed us to make a reservation at Tiger Paw when they were already full. The staff was amazing. They booked us at another sister hostel and even paid for our cab to get there. Very kind considering it wasn't even their mistake.
