The Hostelz.com Review
Mr. Walker Hostel is a well-located, simple hostel that takes up the better part of two floors in an apartment building in central Belgrade.
The Location
Around the corner from the train and bus stations, yet far enough down a side street to not be bothered by the heavy traffic and riff-raff, the hostel has a very practical location. The city center is on the other side of the hostel and within easy walking distance as the Sava River (including some of the popular nightlife) and the fortress. The location is hard to beat. There are enough services and shop directly nearby and the neighborhood is historic albeit not explicitly preserved. The hostel is a four story walk-up.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorms are located around the small lounge/reception and on the upper floor of the hostel. They are very generic hostel dorms with quite suitable beds. At the time of stay there were not enough functioning lockers to meet the need of guests. There is just a small bathroom on each floor with toilet and shower. This is not sufficient, even for this small hostel. They're clean but also with seemingly little care put into the design.
Common Spaces
There's a lounge in the entrance of the hostel at the reception. This area is fine for a short break but not particularly inviting. There is a small kitchen with free internet computer located off of this room. The kitchen has the necessary basics. It's a small hostel, and the atmosphere is accordingly simple yet laid-back.
Summary
The hostel is simple, ideally-located, quick, and cheap. It's ideal for those passing through and people who are satisfied with the basics.

Excellent This hostel is very very good! It's clean and looks like new. I recommend you this hostel. — g-djica Bojana , slovenian (2010-10-04)

Very nice and clean The staff was helpful. The place is extremely clean. Smoking wasnt allowed (unlike other hostels in the area). Free internet terminal and Wi-Fi. The only thing is that you had to climb up 5 stories but the plus side to that is you can sleep peacefully without any noise. Highly recommended. — fito , Canada (2010-04-13)

Amazing! Very clean rooms and bathrooms, helpful staff, air conditioning is a life saver, and the staff are available twenty-four hours. Very good price for what you get -- it feels like a hotel! Close to the train station and ten-minute maximum walk to the centre gives it a great location, if a bit hard to find as its on the fourth floor of a building. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone! — Lauren and Kat , British (2009-07-15)

New hostel and very clean. More like a four-star hotel. Best hostel I ever stayed at. Everything is new. Each room has air conditioning. Kitchen has sink, fridge, and microwave. Free coffee and tea. The hostel should provide walking directions because Zagrebacka street is very short and not on any Belgrade maps. Hostel is across karadjordjeva street (where the trams run) From the bus station walk through a small park and look for Banca Intesa and NBG Bank signs. These banks are on the right and left side of Zagrebacka street and the hostel is three fourths down this street on your left side. Five minutes from the main bus station. The rail station is only around two hundred-fifty meters away. — Mike , USA (2008-06-02)
