I stayed there four days and the staff was very friendly and could direct me at nice places. Not a whole lot of privacy. I had a nine-bed dorm with two families with children, but the second night they were gone already. Internet is free (computers in the corridors). The computers they have for internet looked like they were never upgraded since 1980, though. The location I believe to be one of the best you can get in Brno -- very central and doesn't look dangerous on night. The toilets are big (the building is a school during the year) and they are kept clean.

I made reservations by phone, unaware that this was a school during the year. After making reservations, I came to Brno and found that they were closed. Shoddy work.

Great location (in the oldtown), and great looking building -- which was where Gregor Mendel lectured about his discovery of genetics. Huge rooms with many beds -- not terribly comfortable or private, but with clean baths and friendly operation. A bit over-priced, but that's Brno, where all short-term accommodations are pricey. Watch out for operating dates, as this is a school, so the hostel only operates during the summer vacation.

We stayed here just one night, but would gladly return for another because of the great atmosphere and the friendly staff. (Though the floor would probably have been more convenient than their horribly hard beds without pillows.)

I stayed here for two nights in July 2003. It's in a good location. The staff were really nice and they made reservations for our cave tour. The dorms were converted high school science labs, so the rooms were really big and spacious. The bathrooms were clean and new. There were hardly any other guests so it was really quiet. No complaints — I would stay here again.
