Each room has a closet and bathroom. Currently lockers aren't offered. There also isn't air conditioning or fans, but there are electric outlets next to the beds if you have a portable fan. The rooms are small with 3 people in each room and they resemble college dorm rooms. There is a common room with tables and chairs and a TV. Breakfast (a roll, juice, and coffee) is included.

Clean, affordable, efficient, but not cheerful Staff could be friendlier but that can be remedied easily if you are not too touchy or demanding and do a little bit of legwork, and if those who have been there give good tips!!! Specific instructions on how to get from Estacion (railway station) to hostel by BUS. Although the place is walkable, it will easier to take bus. (fare is 1.30 euros, need exact change, but if staying for 2 days or more get the 7 Euro bus pass for 5 trips. it is scannable and a lot simpler if you plan to go to Alhambra. all bus drivers have the pass, but you have to press them for it.) My tip is as follows. Take bus #21 from Ave de la Constitution to Albuerge Juvenil (drivers cannot understand youth hostel) and while going to downtown or railway station take bus #11 (circular). Bus timings are 7 am to 11 pm. For Alhambra bus, catch 31 at the fountain where Ave de la Constiution meets Via Grand Colon (in that way you are ahead of the big crowd waiting at Plaza Nueva intersection), bus will be full. Would not advise climbing unless you are in your 20s and are in an excellent condition as you will be tired bu time you reach there, and then there is more climbing involved in Alhambra. Lastly if you are walking to downtown and back, head from hostel directly northeast and then go over the bridge over the railway tracks, and then walk on Ave de La Constitution then Grand Via de Colon, similarly returning back or walking from station. do the same. Try not to go in via-Arabia as there is some construction by the University.. and even with map you are likely to get lost. locals are not of much help due to language and map-reading constraints -- personal experience! Buy your own cheese for breakfast. — Ramdas , India (2011-04-30) Great hostel (not so great staff) We arrived unannounced in the middle of the night and luckily found a room at this hostel and were able to check in with no problem in the early hours which was great! Perfect location, walkable from the centre, or there was a bus which was cheap and fast. The room came with its own bathroom including shower, the whole room seemed very clean and smelt fresh. The only thing I would mention is that the beds were quite hard, but I had no trouble sleeping. The breakfast buffet was great, all you can eat, if you can eat enough before it shuts! We turned up a little late and unfortunately only managed to nab a few leftovers before they cleared it away, but that's more our fault I suppose. Evening meal was cheap and very tasty. The main thing that let this hostel down was the staff! Not many seemed to speak english very well, it was lucky we had a spanish speaker with us. Staff were very abrupt and not cheerful at all (kitchen staff included), very reluctant to smile no matter how hard we tried to crack jokes. Pity! The personnel are not friendly; they speak English but didn't like to help us. The meals were good and the rooms too. Perhaps the worst thing about it is its distance to the city center, but the hostel has a bus stop nearby.
