HI - Queralbs - Pic de Aliga Hostel

It's located at a beautiful location, just above the Nuria valley, right at the end of the cable-car. This is a very expensive hostel considering the Euro 25 a day price for B&B at this remote location. They are charging like in NYC/WDC!!! But, the facilities are really good. The reason for heavy price could be that the place is a hot-spot for holiday makers from both Spain & France. The only other accomodation available at Nuria valley (except camping) is the very expensive hotels from the tourist department. It is better to go for half board (~ Euro 30) and get the dinner also there. There is no kitchen facility at the hostel. The food is good at the restaurant and moderately priced. Included Breakfast is excellent. One of the best hostels if the high-price is ignored..... Acess to the hostel: Take train from Barcellona to Ribes-de-freser and then the Cremallera to the Nuria valley and then the cable car to the hostel. If arriving at Girona by Ryan Air or other cheap flights. Go to Girona city and then to Vic by Bs and then take up the train to Ribes. (plz. check the time tables before going through this route) There is no internet access anywhere near this place. And if u like to cook on camp stove, better get the groceries from Ribes. There is only one shop at Nuria Valley by the tourism dept and is an expensive one...
