Clean place but more similar to a prison than an youth hostel. The staff was not very friendly. Breakfast time is too early for younger people and the breakfast was bad. Close to the beach. Not the best place for young people looking for party.

Awesome location, only a few blocks from a beautiful beach. It's quiet, has a friendly staff, decent breakfast, and really clean rooms and bathrooms!

We were here in August, 2002. It is a very clean hostel, with double rooms with a bathroom inside, and we also had breakfast. We arrived here after looking for a campsite in Cabo de Gata National Park (everywhere was overcrowded). This hostel is near the beach, in a real Spanish part of the city, and only 20 kilometers from Cabo de Gata's beaches. I have good memories of it!!!

This was a clean hostel. It's easy to get into the town centre; they give you a map at reception! Easy, that is, if you don't mind going over a railway bridge and down a couple of dark lanes at night. If you have your wits about you, you'll be fine. Quite safe! It's close to the beach, and there are a few supermarkets nearby.

As any HI hostel I've been to, it was clean. It was more like a dorm, really. The only thing that sucked was not meeting people, if that's what you're there for. I was there at peak time, Semana Santa (Easter week), and there was nobody to meet in the common rooms. I had no roommates, and there were only old people at the cafeteria in the morning. But it's close to a beach, and easy to find. Overall, it was average.
