Description
Welcome to Comrie Croft! The Croft is a beautiful rural hostel converted from two old farm buildings set around a courtyard. At the foot of a 3000 ft mountain, the Croft has the best of both worlds: the peace and beauty of the Highlands, together with easy access and an enormous range of things to see and do. Being in the centre of Scotland there are excellent day trip possibilies. Edinburgh or Glasgow are just an hour's drive. Our local village, Comrie, is a pretty, thriving wee place with a couple of good pubs and places to eat as well as traditional butcher, grocer and deli.
Facilities include mountain bike hire (and onsite trails), walking trails, play barn & field, free book & movie library, 24hr fresh ground coffee, and of course a large kitchen, comfy lounge and a barbeque and log fire in the courtyard.

The surroundings are quite nice and it was reasonably cheap for uk prices.

I stayed here last summer with a group of friends, and just never got around to rating it before. It was the best hostel I've ever stayed in, and I've been in quite a few. Rooms are nice, and the staff is extremely helpful. You can rent bikes from the hostel and ride around the country side, there are also lots of hiking paths you can take directly from the hostel, and the scenery in amazing. Also had fun playing basketball and football in the barn! Overall, a great experience. — Victoria (2006-09-04)
