This is a basic, countryside, youth hostel, set in idilic surroundings in the heart of Buckinghamshire. Its close enough to London for business and sightseeing, but far enough away for relaxation and peace after a busy day. The manager describes it as a little shack, but it is more than that, it is a quaint retreat of wood and simplicity. There is a basic lounge and kitchen which is clean and contains tables and chairs. The kitchen has, cooker, microwave, fridge and all basic pans, plates and necessary utencials for making a meal. Plus there is an outside BBQ for use in Summer. Camping is offered from July to September, but tents and sleeping bags are not provided. The hostel is surrounded by a garden with wooden picknick tables. There is plenty of trees and wildlife around. The dorms are wooden and simple, with no wash bason in the rooms. There are separte shower blocks for both men and women close to the dorms with a couple of showers and toiletts. The showers are excelent, with hot running water. The entire hostel is very clean. It is however, very small and can only cater for 24 people at any one time. The hostel, by its simple surroundings and friendly atmosphere, creates an air all of its own and is highly recommendable.

Aproximatley 1M 1.6KM from Seer Green Railway Station. From London, take train from Marlabone train station to Seer Green. Can also get train from High Wycombe train station. Directions to hostel; once at Seer Green train station, exit platform and follow the down hill, keep strait until passed the golf course. Keep following the path and take first right. The road continues down hill with grass banks on both sides. Walk under train bridge and continue til crossroads. At first crossroad turn right and walk til second crossroad and turn left into Wellders Lane, hostel is on left, with large driveway. There is no bus route. Heathrow Airport is only 10M 16KM away.
