Our Village is set in palm and gum tree gardens less than a minute's walk to two beaches (there are 17 terrific sandy beaches on the island). Our accommodation is simple, comfortable and cosy, giving you a feeling of being away from the fast pace of the world.
The Village atmosphere is what you would expect on an island - low key, with relaxing and lazy days either on the beach or in a hammock, a walk on bushland tracks to deserted beaches, snorkelling, or maybe a kayak or motorised canoe trip to surrounding areas. And then there are the sunsets. A true "Island in the Sun" experience.
We give you snorkelling gear to use during your stay, provide all linen, a few surprises thrown in at mealtime, have a small shop selling basic grocery items, and generally provide a place for you to feel at home and make some good friends as you relax and appreciate the specialness of Great Keppel Island.

Great Keppel Island is a 30 minute ferry trip from the town of Yeppoon, 45 kilometres east of Rockhampton in Central Queensland, halfway between Hervey Bay and Airlie Beach. Greyhound buses, rail and airlines all service Rockhampton. Rothery's Coaches & Young's Bus provides transfers from these services directly to Rosslyn Bay Harbour, where you can catch the ferry.
