U-City Hostel is a small hostel that is actually set in a little apartment. It is all right if you are only looking for a bed for the night, but it gets full very quickly, as it's very cheap to stay here, and then it gets rather crowded and inconvenient.
The Location
The location of the hostel is ok; it is located in the center, though on a quiet residential street. There are some supermarkets nearby and various means of public transportation are around. The train station is not too far away and it is within walking distance, as are most of the famous tourist attractions.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There is one big dorm, and another smaller room; the size of the rooms are alright, there is some space, but as we mentioned, it gets a bit hectic when the room is full. There are some hangers and chairs scattered around, but no lockers. The beds could be more comfortable. Bed linen and towels are included. There are two bathrooms and they seem to be occupied all of the time, and get dirty very fast. There isn't any air circulation in there, and it doesn't help that the toilet and the shower are in the same room.
Common Spaces
There is only a tiny kitchen that serves as the common space. While the kitchen is equipped with basic cookware, it is very small and there is only a very small table that no more than four people can share at once; it's not very convenient and definitely not fun to just hang out in. Breakfast is not provided, but naturally you can buy your own groceries and use the kitchen -- make sure to label your food. The staff are friendly enough when they're around, although they are not always there, which is a bit strange, as the door is never locked (although a code is necessary to enter the building). There is free Wi-Fi and it works ok.
Summary
During our stay, the hostel was fully occupied and we feel like it's a bit much for that sort of a tiny space, however you can probably have a nice stay during quieter times, when the hostel is not completely full. Either way, it is the cheapest hostel we found in town, so we can't really complain.
