• Directions:
• The below charges vary depending upon the time of the day, Number of members, Your negotiation skills and mood of the driver :).
• From Railway Station: 4.5 Kms from the Railway Station, Tuktuk charge should be about ₹80-120. Manual rickshaw should be about ₹60-90.Pickup would cost ₹150/200 by tuktuk in Day/night and ₹300 for Taxi.
• Bus Stand: 2.5 Kms from Bus Stand, Expect to Pay ₹30-50 by manual rickshaw and ₹70-80 by tuktuk. Pickup would be ₹100 during the day and ₹ 150 during the night by tuktuk and ₹ 250 by a Taxi.
• Airport: About 15 kms from the Airport. You can get prepaid taxis or tuktuk for about ₹ 300-500. Pickup would cost ₹450/550 depending upon day/night by a tuktuk and ₹600 with a taxi
• Wagah Border:About 35 Kms. You can either negotiate with one of the shared tuktuks on their way back from the border ceremony in the evening or get an individual tuktuk for about ₹400-500. Pickup would be ₹500 with a tuktuk and ₹800 with a Taxi.
• From Golden Temple: about 1 Km (10-12 Mins walk) away from the Golden Temple. From Golden Temple, Walk to Sultanwind Gate, From Sultanwind Gate, Walk about 200 meters on Sultanwind Road and turn on the road opposite to Muthoot Finance. About 70 meters walk from the turn on the right, The hostel is upstairs next to Salon 16.
• Landmark: Kalra hospital, Ajit Nagar is the nearest landmark. If the tuktuk/rickshaw says he doesn't know it, Other landmark would be Sultanwind Gate( one of the 12 old city gates) which is 5 mins walk from the hostel. Ask about Kalra Hospital once you are at the gate. Look for Salon 16 signBoards which are huge and easy to find.
