Katus Hostel, Tallinn

• The easiest way to 'Katus' is to find the entrance to the Old town called Viru Gates (two old gate towers, a small flower market, Mc Donald`s at the corner). From there walk along Viru Street and take the second turn left (Sauna Street). Walk up Sauna Street. At the corner of Sauna St and Vaike Karja St you will see a high yellow building. This is the house you need. Stay on Sauna Street, find the red door just to the right of the 'Paar veini' wine bar in front of 'FRANK' restaurant. Ring the door bell. You will find „Katus“ on the highest (3rd) floor.
• From the airport:
• Take bus number 2 to the 'A.Laikmaa' stop at the Viru shopping centre and just walk to the Old Town from there. When you have hopped out, you can take the way straight through the shopping center or just walk around it. You will see the roofs and towers of the Old town as you reach the other side of the shopping centre on the right. Cross the street at the traffic light. Now you face Viru street,with a small flower market on the left and the two Viru Gate towers in front of you. Go to the Viru Gate towers. From there go on walking along Viru Street and take the second turn left into Sauna Street. Walk up Sauna Street. On the corner of Sauna St and Väike Karja St you will see a high yellow building. This is the house you need. Stay on Sauna Street, find the red door just to the right of the 'Paar veini' wine bar and. Ring the door bell. You will find „Katus“ on the highest (3rd) floor.
• From the bus station:
• Take the bus number 17 or 23 to the 'Estonia' stop. You will see a big yellow theatre in front of you. Just go that direction and cross the street at the traffic light. Walk trough the small park on the right from the theatre with a monument in it. Cross the street again. Now you are on Viru Street with the small flower market on the left and two Viru gate towers infront of you. Go to the Viru gate towers. From there go on walking along Viru Street and take the second turn left into Sauna Street. Walk up Sauna Street. On the corner of Sauna St and Väike Karja St you will see a high yellow building. This is the house you need. Stay on Sauna Street, find the red door just to the right of the 'Paar veini' wine bar. Ring the door bell. You will find „Katus“ on the highest (3th) floor.
• From the harbour:
• Walk from the harbour towards the Old Town (you can see it clearly), then turn left into Mere Street and walk it up till you come to the roundabout. Turn right there. Now you are on Viru Street, with a small flower market on the left and the two Viru Gate towers in front of you. Go to the Viru gate towers. From there walk along Viru Street. Take the second turn left into Sauna Street. Walk up Sauna Street. On the corner of Sauna St and Väike Karja St you will see a high yellow building. This is the house you need. Stay on Sauna Street, find the red door just to the right of the 'Paar veini' wine bar. Ring the door bell. You will find „Katus“ on the highest (3th) floor.
• From the railway station:
• Walk towards the old town (it is pretty close and you can see it behind and above the park). Cross Toompuiestee Street and walk through the park along Nunne Street, which leads you to the Old town. Walk until until you reach the crossing with Pikk Street (you will see an old gate tower on the right). Then walk up the narrow and short Voorimehe Street to get to the Town Hall square. Cross it. You will see the Old Hansa restaurant and some people in medieval costumes. Ask them for Vaike-Karja Street (they are really helpful and friendly). Walk up Vaike-Karja Street and take the first turn to the left into Sauna Street. You will see a high yellow building on the left. This is the house you need. Stay on Sauna Street, find the red door just to the right of the 'Paar veini' wine bar. Ring the door bell. You will find „Katus“ on the highest (3th) floor.
