Location and Contact

Location

• HOW TO GET HERE:
• NB: Please call 044 945 015 (or 00377 44 945 015 from abroad) if you have any problems on your way here.
• From Airport:
• The only transport into town from the airport is by taxi. Taxi drivers in the airport can be a bit pushy and can sometimes overcharge. If you let us know before you arrive, we can arrange a taxi to collect you. The cost is 15 Euro, and the ride takes about 20 minutes. If you manage your own taxi ride, tell the taxi driver that you need to go to Gjergj Fishta school in Prishtina, on Ismail Dumoshi Street, close to the Lunar Park. The hostel is a few doors down from the school, in a big yello house. There is a hand written sign on the door, reading 'Ismail Dumoshi 40'.
• From the main Bus Station:
• From the bus station, it is possible to take a taxi (3 or 4 Euro), a local bus (0.30 or 0.40 Euro), or walk.
• If you take a taxi, it is cheaper to take one from just outside the bus station (around 2.50). Ask the driver to put the meter on or arrange the price before you get in. Tell the driver that you need to go to Gjergj Fishta school in Prishtina, on Ismail Dumoshi Street, close to the Lunar Park. The hostel is a few doors down from the school, in a big yellow house opposite the car mechanic. There is a hand written sign on the door, reading 'Ismail Dumoshi 40'.
• If you take the local bus from the long distance bus station, there are two routes.
• *** Route A: Walk to Hotel Victory - ask people to directions. From the big roundabout next to Hotel Victory, you can take the bus number 9 (every 20 minutes) which goes in the direction of Germia Park (always better to double check that you're on the right bus). Tell the driver you want to go to Gjergj Fishta school (shkolla) or the Lunar Park (careful not to get confused with Germia Park, because this is the final destination). When you get off the bus, cross the road the bus just drove off on, and go straight, keeping the lunar park on your left. Take the first right, now you will be on Ismail Dumoshi street. You will see the school on your left and walk past all the railings. The hostel is the yellow house a few doors down from the school, on the left. It is the house opposite the car mechanic and on the door is a hand writte sign saying 'Ismail Dumoshi 40'.
• *** Route B: Get onto Bill Clinton Boulevard (ask people for directions). On Bill Clinton Boulevard, catch bus number 7 (every 20 minutes) and stay on the bus until you are on Agim Ramadani Street. Here, change for the bus number 9 (every 20 minutes) heading towards Germia Park. Ask the driver to let you out by the Gjergj Fishta school / Lunar Park, and follow directions as above.
• Walking from the main Bus Station:
• Ask people to help you find Bill Clinton Boulevard. Once on Bill Clinton, walk in the direction of town (towards the big photo of Bill Clinton on the apartment block). Keep going straight until you see the big cathedral on the left, this is where you need to turn left. Now you are on George Bush road! You will go straight along this road for a long time, passing the very interesting looking university library on the right, the Grand Hotel on the left: now you will be on Mother Teresa (Nene Teresa) Boulevard (pedestrian road). Keep going straight, you will go past the Skenderberg Statue and the Houses of Parliament. You will see all the photographs of the missing people hanging on the railings of the Parliament buildings. At this point, look to the right and you will see a big mosque (the oldest in Kosovo) and a big yellow building (the National Museum). Walk towards the mosque and museum and take the road on the right directly past the mosque. Follow this winding road for about 10 minutes until you see the Viva market. Turn right and walk down the hill. At the bottom of the road, turn left and you are on Ismail Dumoshi Street. The hostel is a couple of hundred metres down this road, in a big yellow building on the right hand side. On the door is a hand writte sign saying 'Ismail Dumoshi 40'. If you get lost along the way, ask people about the Magic Park on Ismail Dumoshi Street. Enjoy the walk!
