Hostel Stoimena, Crikvenica

• BY CAR:
• Crikvenica is situated 33 kilometers from the city of Rijeka.
• If you enter Croatia from Zagreb, the best way is the highway Zagreb-Rijeka. From Rijeka go on the Adriatic highway and continue the path to Crikvenica.
• If you entered through Istria, half highway Ypsilon go to the city of Rijeka and then with Adriatic highway to Crikvenica.
• Both ways will get you on the same road entery to Crikvenica. Driving above the town, after the overpass there is a road bifurcation where you go right and take another right only 30 meters after it to get to the hostel.
• MAIN TRAIN STATION:
• Train station is in the center of Crikvenica.
• Crikvenica is connected with the railway line, Trieste, Munich and Frankfurt.
• If you can not find a ticket to Crikvenica we suggest to buy a ticket to the city of Rijeka, which is connected to all major cities in Europe with daily lines.
• If you are taking the train, there are daily trains to Zagreb from Budapest, Munich, and Vienna. There are daily trains to Rijeka from Budapest, Munich, and Salzburg. From Paris or Brussels, there are daily trains to Mestre station in Venice. (If you wish to take the 'Eurostar' train through the Channel Tunnel, then you can connect on to Venice from either Paris or Brussels.)
• From Mestre, trains run to Trieste at least once per hour between 05:30 and midnight. The train takes about two hours.
• From Zagreb, take the train to Rijeka. The express train takes about four hours. However, there are only two express trains to Rijeka per day. The local train can take up to six hours to get to Rijeka.
• BUS TERMINAL:
• You can take a bus from Rijeka. Buses depart every 45 minutes to an hour and it takes 40 minutes from Rijeka to Crikvenica. From bus station (center of town) there is a light 10 minute walk along the coast to get to the hostel.
• RIJEKA AIRPORT:
• Rijeka Airport is located at the very center of both the Kvarner Gulf and Europe.
• Rijeka Airport is the entry point for the Kvarner region.
• Cities with which Rijeka is connected:
• London Stansted/Heathrow, Stockholm, Oslo, Zagreb, Köln, Stuttgart, Barcelona, Berlin, Bern, Frankfurt.
• If you can not find a flight from your city to the airport Rijeka, we suggest a flight to Zagreb. From Zagreb, you can take a flight to Rijeka airport.
• To get to the Airport, you can take an Autotrolej bus coordinated with the timetable there is a bus for each flight. The buses depart from Opatija, Rijeka and Kraljevica. The tickets can be purchased on the bus and paid both in cash or by a credit card.
• The buses take off from the Airport to the above mentioned destinations 30 minutes after arrival of the airplane.
• To get to Crikvenica, you can take a Autotrolej bus to Kraljevica and from there catch a bus to Crikvenica.
