Umbrella Hostel Reviews

Umbrella Hostel is a great place to stay for those who are keen on seeing Bucharest, making friends, and getting involved. The hostel is quite social but also allows guests to rest and relax in peace and quiet. Umbrella Hostel provides visitors with fun activities, clean amenities, and a comfortable place to sleep.

The Location

The hostel is easily reached by public transport from the main bus and train stations as well as the international airport. There are several public transport stops close by, meaning travelers are able to get to and from all parts of Bucharest easily. Although the hostel is located close to a main street, the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. There are several convenience stores, shopping centres as well as restaurants and bars nearby to the hostel. The post office and ATMs are also just a short walk away.

Rooms and Bathrooms

There are several dorm rooms of varying sizes within the hostel. Within the eight-bed dorm room, there are four bunk beds. Each bed is provided with comfortable linen and a pillow, and has a light and power point in close proximity. For each guest there is a large locker (with key). There is a window open to the outside and the room temperature is always reasonable.

There are several bathrooms in the hostel, with separate unisex showers and toilets for convenience. The basins are located just outside the bathroom, which makes it easy for guests to use them whenever they need.

Common Spaces

There are various common spaces where guests are encouraged to mingle and meet others. The reception is adjacent to a common area with couches, power points and a PC for guests to use. There are also tables and chairs if guests wish to set up a board game or their own laptop. There is a common kitchen for use by all guests which contains a fridge/freezer, coffee machine, stovetop, two sinks, hot and chilled water, free tea, and sufficient kitchenware and cookware. The kitchen is cleaned daily and is kept tidy throughout the day. There is also an outdoor space with tables and chairs for guests to use.

Summary
