Great atmosphere, Great location, Amazing staff! Friendly, party atmosphere, each evening everyone heads up to the roof terrace before heading out to the local (very cheap) bars, so you get to meet young people from lots of different nationalities. Booked to stay for four nights, ended up staying for a month, didn't want to leave! Family owned hostel with very pleasant atmosphere. In the centre of San Pedro, 5 minutes by car to Puerto Banus and 15 minutes of walking from the beach and 5 minutes of walking from local bars where they sell drinks for 1 Euro. Our main importance was finding a clean and decent hostal close to the beach. We did not expect that staying in Hostal Plaza would turn out to be such an fantastic weekend. Everybody in the hostal is genuinely nice and caring and they want you to feel at home. The atmosphere on the rooftop with people form different countries all over the world was great and the rooms were clean. The beach is not that far away and we enjoyed it so much! We planned to stay one night and ended up booking an extra night. I really enjoyed my stay at Hostal Plaza due to the laid back friendly atmosphere. The staff are all lovely people who are willing to help out when needed, the prices are extremley resonable for the facilities and services that you recieve when staying at this hostal. If you are in the San Pedro area and looking for somewhere to stay I strongly suggest you choose Hostal Plaza, and if you do decide to stay there then you definitely have to venture up onto the Roof Terrace in an evening where you can chill out, have a drink and meet lots of lovely friendly people :)   — Emma Highley (2011-09-01) Hostelbookers

Such a friendly and helpfully family and staff. Excellent value for money with air con and breakfast included. Once the coffee machine was fixed, all was well! Wonderful atmosphere in the afternoons and evenings on the roof top terrace. I really enjoyed the location. Was able, and would recommended, doing Ronda and Gilbraltar as day trips while staying this hostel. Both only an hour away. Plus with night bus's to Porto Banos, what's not to like.
