Casa Amarilla was designed with the backpacker in mind! Run by your fellow travellers, we pride ourselves on having a clean, safe, fun, laid-back and relaxing hostel without a strict set of rules.

Our location is one of the best in town - set off on a side street, we're away from all of the nightly and early morning noise while still just a few blocks away from the bars, restaurants and beaches of San Juan.

Whether you’re enjoying a drink in the indoor garden atrium, cooking yourself dinner in our large, clean and fully-equipped kitchen or just chatting with people from around the world, you’re going to love it here!

Your stay includes daily cleaning service, free fishing trips, free internet/Wi-Fi, cable TV, a book exchange, DVD library, free bag storage, kitchen usage, information and maps and no curfew. Don’t forget about our in-house Nicaraguan chef, ready to cook you up an amazing dinner!

Our small size (we have 5 rooms) allows you to enjoy added security and individual attention while avoid the overwhelming feeling of large hostels; instead, you’ll feel more at home here. You can also take advantage of the chance for you and your friends to rent the whole hostel and have your own personal house in San Juan!
