La Moraia

The property is located upon a beautiful hill within a huge natural resort (restocking game reserve for pheasants, hares and wild boars).The family-run farmhouse has always been producing extra virgin olive oil and Chianti wine from the 23 ha surrounding the property. For the last 11 years we have also been breeding trotter horses (La Moraia offers also the opportunity for our guests to put their horses to board). This setting in the heart of Chianti is that perfect mix of vineyards, olive groves, hills and woods.
A rare example of 19th century architecture the country set consists of a main house with tower (1860), a farmhouse beside it and two hay barns.
In 1994 the farmhouse complex was restored carefully keeping its original character, and divided into twelve apartments. Last renovation was in 2006.

We offer private double roomed apartments (50-65 squared meters) for 2-4 persons consisting in a double bedroom + living room with equipped cooking angle and double bed couch + bathroom with bath or shower.

Private triple apartments (70-78 squared meters) for 4-6 persons consist in 2 double bedrooms + living room with equipped cooking angle and double bed couch + bathroom with bath or shower.

Private quadruple apartment (98 squared meters) for 6 people consists in 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath, 1 toilet, 1 living room with cooking angle and fireplace.

Private quadruple apartment (98 squared meters) for 8 people consists in 1 double bedroom, 2 triple bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath, 1 toilet, 1 living room with cooking angle and fireplace.

Every apartment has been decorated and furnished in the traditional Tuscan style, but at the same time offers all modern facilities such as central heating, oven or microwave, fireplace (most of them),TV, dishwasher, fridge, American coffee machine, etc.
Token washing machines and dryers are at the guests' disposal as well as free covered parking places and outside BBQs. Every apartment has its own private table in the garden (some of them have private terrace).
The property offers tranquility and an extensive view across the beautiful Chianti hills. For the exclusive use of our guests, close to the house is a 7 x 14 meter outdoor swimming pool ( depth 1,20-1,40 meter) around which are tables, sun beds, loungers and umbrellas.

IMPORTANT INFO: From 26.06 to 28.08 we accept only weekly reservations from Saturday to Saturday

Extra costs:
Gas/Heating is extra and has to be paid for according to consumption Euro 5.30 mc.
(All the other consumptions are included).
Linen and towels are provided on arrival (change cost Euro 10 per person)
Pick-up transfers (airport-railway stations and Poggibonsi) can be arranged, costs vary according to distances and timetables.
