We are located in the heart of the city, in the 5th district, close to places of interest, party places and cultural monuments.
Our goal is to feel yourself comfortable and safe in our hostel and make your stay in Budapest pleasant informing you upon arrival all the important spots on a free Budapest map. No hidden charges.
What we can offer to our visitors? Homely atmosphere, affordable prices, free luggage storage, and comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff.

Location	•Directions to reach us: • From the airport: • Take the airport bus (200) to the last stop (Kobanya-kispest) and take the metro to Ferenciek tere. - From Ferenciek tere turn 180 degrees left at the top of the escalator, go up the stairs and turn 90 degrees left again away from the bridge. Walk up the street to reach Szep utca (the first right). We are house number 5. Push the bell 14. • Or just take a Zona Taxi for 3600 forint (ask in the airport). • From the train stations Keleti and Deli: • Go underground and catch the red metro line to Astoria. Take the escalator upstairs and walk to the far left exit marked Kossuth Lajos ut. - Walk straight ahead 100 meters and turn left into Szep utca (the second street). • We are house number 5. Push the bell 14. • From the bus station Nepliget and the train station Nyugati: • Go underground and catch the blue metro line to Ferenciek tere. From Ferenciek tere turn 180 degrees left at the top of the escalator, go up the stairs and turn 90 degrees left again away from the bridge. - Walk up the street to reach Szep utca (the first right). • We are house number 5. This hostel is really homely and welcoming, and very social. The dorm rooms look amazing. I was in a room by the kitchen but it was very quiet and I slept really well. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and gave brilliant tips on local entertainment and food. I met great people, and loved staying there. I really enjoyed my stay at Oleander Hostel, I am a novice reviewer but I have been staying in backpackers and hostels for over 20 years and I cannot fault this place. This Hostel is perfectly located, actually, in the downtown. It was easy to get anywhere we wanted. The staff was friendly and helpful with any request we could ask. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean and the lockers made us feel safe about leaving valuables behind while we went and explored. The best part is that there is a kitchen and fridge so you can bring or buy your own food and save money on eating out. The directions listed from the train station are perfect. The staff were awesome, pointing on a free Budapest map upon arrival all the sightseeing and night spots which is highly appreciated. They made us feel so at home. Rooms were big and spacious and beds quite comfortable. Good kitchen & awesome location, right in the center of town. Wonderful hostel. Location is the best you can get. The bedrooms are very simple, but clean and comfortable, with individual lockers. The shower is not the best one I've ever seen, but it's just fine. The highlight of the hostel is their great living room with free internet, DVD, and enough space for all the guests (It has only 3 bedrooms). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hostel is in an ideal location, right in the center of Budapest and near main train and metro stations, these will get you anywhere in and out the city. The hostel's atmosphere is cozy and made me feel at home, and because the hostel is not that big there are some great opportunities to chat and meet (and go out with) other people. Friendliest staff! This place got a home feel to it. It feel like apartment converted to hostel but in a very nice way. The bathroom (shared) is a spacious one, just like someone's home. The common area and the room are nice and comfy. The location is really close to the main pedestrian street and the river. The staff is very nice and would let you know what nearby restaurants are really good and cheap.
